The Bradbury Bar & Bistro

I visited with a group of colleagues in April 22. Our original booking had been at Christmas, but had been postponed due to covid. The restaurant had collected deposits from us, rearranging had not been easy due to the groups conflicting existing commitments and we felt that the restaurant were not as flexible as they could have been.
3 of those who paid a deposit were unable to come and the restaurant kept their money - which I could understand if we had caused them to turn away customers on a busy night, but the place was half empty.
On arrival I was immediately scowled at by a staff member, who told me that we had not sent in our pre orders as agreed and that we would have a lengthy wait for food as a result. In essence she was telling me off. I was fairly sure we had sent pre orders - and eventually my colleague came along with a copy of the email of our pre order. No apology received - in fact the staff member started arguing that we’d sent it to the wrong email address (we hadn’t).
The evening went on very much like this and concluded with 2 of us being overcharged and having to get into a very lengthy argument to get our money back - when I mentioned this to a young woman who turned out to be the owners daughter, the rude staff member claimed she’d apologised 4 or 5 times (she hadn’t).
Some of the food was passable. The burger and fries were over cooked.
The only saving grace was the young woman who was the owners daughter, who had clocked off for the evening and was having a drink with friends who attempted to intervene when she realised what was going on. She was lovely and clearly mortified at the staff members behaviour.
Over all, quite an unpleasant evening. We won’t be returning.

Love this place first time going today inside looks very pleasant and the view is good.
Drinks are a nice taste and food is very well presented althoigh only recomend if you want a small meal . The meal. Is small for a price

Excellent food, excellent staff and reasonable prices.

Great place! We have been back 3 times. I first went in for breakfast with my son. He had the pancakes with bacon and syrup and I had the eggs Benedict. Which was super yummy. Top that off with really good coffee. No wonder we returned . This time for milkshakes ,more pancakes and halomi fries , sweet potato fries , onion rings and more just to end off a Friday late afternoon. They have a bottomless bubbles combo and also advertise what sounds like a delicious Sunday lunch option. The place is clean ,charmingly decorated and the staff were friendly and efficient. My kids favourite Friday afternoon spoil spot in Chesterfield. But great for evening drinks and a dinner out too.

We visited chesterfield for a short few hours and was hungry and saw this on Google and wow what can I say .. excellent food. Beautiful little bistro cafe / posh/rustick
Can see cheffs cooking which is nice
Staff are wonderful polite and inviting.
Fast service. Really really enjoyed it that much we are considering traveling up this Saturday for a full English

We popped in for Sunday lunch having accidently found this place. I had the trio of stuffed Yorkshire puddings, which was a Sunday special, but it was absolutely delicious. Every other meal was fantastic too.

The service was great and it's very reasonably priced. Easy 5 stars 👍

We’ve wanted to try this place since it’s opening and finally found the chance to pop in for breakfast. I had the ‘Bradbury breakfast’ and my wife had an omelette. I got told off (from the wife) for keep saying ‘this is really nice, try this’ I couldn’t decide what the best part of my breakfast was, from the tasty bacon and thick sausage to the scrambled eggs and mushrooms. We found the service great excellent and very friendly. We will definitely return. Great addition to the Chesterfields ‘independent traders’ scene.
