Amazing restaurant, definitely lived up to expectations. We went for a Sunday lunch for my partners birthday, she’s a big fan of chef Thom so it was a real treat. The service was exceptional, attentive and friendly. We were welcomed at the door and had a cocktail in the lounge to relax before dining. The food was excellent, the starters were beautifully presented and full of fresh flavours, the Sunday roast was perfect, the portions were very generous, the cauliflower cheese was stand out and the beef was thick and cooked perfectly. We were super happy and Chef Thom even came out and had a quick chat wishing my partner a happy birthday to round off a perfect visit. Thank you team you all smashed it, we’ll be back for a tasting menu soon!

Really fabulous fine dining experience. Delicious, good quality food. The bar staff kindly made me an alcohol free cocktail - i always appreciate service staff going a little “off-piste” as I’m a picky eater (drinker) at times. We’re coming again at Christmas - absolutely can’t wait! 🥂

Wow.. I don't even think I have the words, what an incredible meal! Quite possibly the best food I've ever had. Amazing service from start to finish, welcoming atmosphere and amazing food.. nothing more to say. Loved it! Will 100% be returning

These guys are chasing Michelin 🌟s it is unusual to get quality and service this good, the food is not just a meal but a gastronomic extravaganza. Free appetisers to get you started then a fancy selection of starters, followed by some fantastic mains, and different deserts. The meals are not too big but very tasty so you can savour every nibble. The steak and chicken meals were delicious and cooked to perfection, although it didn't look like much it was very fulfilling. The candied carrot cheesecake was gorgeous but the Bonoffie pie was not quite what the wife expected, so swap over time 😀 I liked it. The menu is updated regularly so if you have a special occasion you can treat your self more than once.

Our new favourite place , Pecks has some serious competition now . Went expecting a really nice meal but probably needing a kebab on way home but wow we were both bursting after with no room for desert .
Lovely apitiser to start , beer bread after all complimentary and both starters and mains were amazing, would recommend to anyone

Definitely one of the best meals I’ve had in Staffordshire. Good service and the food was beyond delightful. Only feedback is that the vegetables didn’t come out with the roast & we were not informed whether they were coming or not and we had to chase the staff to see if they were on their way and it was apparent we were forgotten. Apart from that it was all incredible and we will definitely be back! Thank you.

Slightly belated birthday meal for my wife at The Flintlock. The food cooked by Chef Thom Bateman and his team was out of this world!
Pre dinner appetizers were wild mushroom gougere with a malt extract glaze & Freedom beer bread with whipped butter.
Our starters were 1) crispy panko egg, wild mushrooms, pickled shallot, jerusalem artichoke and truffle sabayon 2) pig's head in a blanket croquette, spiced burnt apple ketchup, fresh apple and sauce gribiche.
Mains 1) slow braised Staffordshire ox cheek, beef fat mash, chantenay carrot, blue cheese, bacon and onion jus 2) pan seared venison loin, haunch hot pot, sticky red cabbage and a game sauce.
Puds 1) Black forest chocolate sponge, chocolate beetroot ganache, beetroot caramel, Kirsch cherries and cherry mascarpone 2) slow baked meringue, mulled wine poached pear, bitter chocolate tuile and creme anglais 🤤
