This is the meal presented to me. Price over £14 .00 had to wait at least 10 minutes for cutlery sent back as the garnish was awful and requested more potatoes They did this and the manager apologised not going back again been many time original brilliant

First visit for a lot of years and very impressed. Very attentive service staff very friendly. Great Bhuna not to got but loads if taste definitely on my list of places to return to

We went today for a lovely meal!
As we walked in we were greated with a very warm welcome and lead to our table. Drinks order was taken very quickly and the food order soon followed. The service was excellent and they took the order from the children too! They ensured our food was to our standards and it was! Amazing food! And we are all truly full to the brim!
We will be back. Thanks for the drink 😉

We live in the village and have been eagerly awaiting the new ownership for our local pub & wow it hasn’t disappointed. Firstly the service is a mile ahead of what we first witnessed from previous ownership and the food is brilliant. My other half had a curry and was blown away, I had a burger which was also delicious and fresh! Also the cocktail board was a fantastic modern addition which we cannot wait to sample

Loved chatting to the staff about the future plans for the pub and restaurant! Exciting future ahead

NEW MANAGEMENT = AVOID

After 20 years’ going to the Queens Head, I’m very sad to say that I will not be returning.

After a mixed experience last time under this new management, we decided to give it another go – a Friday evening and it was dead, sign of the times perhaps?

Interesting all of the previous staff has been replaced by exclusively Indian servers, who were pleasant enough but the service overall was poor. We asked for water that never arrived and had to wait a long time for our orders to be taken.

When it did eventually arrive we then had to wait another ten minutes before the child’s food to arrive separately; braising steak which was overly salty and usually came with chips but nothing on this occasion.

Overall a very disappointing experience, I am very sad that we will not be returning.

I had the misfortune to visit here twice in 8 days.
The positive points are it's been recently refurbished, no problem getting a table (because it was nearly empty!) and the food is OK.
Apart from that, the last visit was horrible. Again there was no beer on tap, apparently they were waiting for a delivery tomorrow (same story as the week before). The family from hell were eating there, they seemed to know the staff (regulars?) and they ruined our evening. 3 children running riot, adults swearing and shouting and to cap it all, one of the children pulled a curtain rail off the wall.
The food is average but very expensive for a pub. Over £20 for a mixed grill! Prior to the new owners it was a reasonable £15. I won't be returning as the place is a shadow of it's former self.

Lovely meals ,well cooked and great variety. Dined there twice with guests in November. Booked an afternoon fusion buffet for reception after funeral early December. Definitely go there again. Made very welcome. Well done with the transformation from ordinary pub to a special dining experience

Awful. From the minute we walked in, it was awful. Was not made to feel welcome at all and the service continued to be poor throughout. Food took an absolute age to come to the table despite there only being one other party in there. Once it got there, it was pretty shoddy. My peppercorn sauce was gravy with a few peppercorns thrown into it, steak was over cooked. Wife was given around 8 peas with her scampi and chips. Lasagna came with chips and mash (instead of garlic bread). Won't be returning.
