This is a charming small cafe - the chef is right there at the centre of things, and it's wonderful (and perhaps comforting) to see fresh ingredients laid out in the open.

Pictured are the special breakfast tacos, which tasted as good as they look. The blue corn tacos add an extra dimension to the flavour and the dish was well executed.

The menu is light bites and quite 'brunchy' which is no bad thing for this style of place

If you can't eat eggs and don't like avocado you might find the menu a bit restricted as one or the other feature in most dishes.

It's a touch of the main strips in the area, but for sure, it's worth the effort to seek this place out.

The food couldn't have been any better. Possibly the best food quality I've ever experienced. The staff are all friendly and helpful and we really appreciated the free starter. It was exquisite. Thank you so much! 😁🙏

I wanted to like this place more than three stars as the food quality and presentation is excellent, but there are some things that just let it down...
Ventilation - it needs windows that 'open', we were offered a seat near the cooking area, it was like sitting next to a Furnace 🔥, we opted to sit outside, this was much nicer (I could see people inside 'fanning' themselves)🤣
Bread Rolls - when you offer Bread, I'd expect it to be nice 'Artisan' type bread, not a Bread Roll like I get on a Plane 😱 - the Marmite butter was nice, but charging £3.50 for a little (overcooked) Bread Roll is bad 👎
Pork Belly starter - Looks great, the pulled Beef ball accompanying it was great, but the Pork Belly was cold, far too fatty and miniscule in size! Again, charging £11 for that is poor 👎
Fish and Chips - This is where you excelled 👍 The Fish (Coley?) was probably the best fish and chips I've ever had - well cooked and delicious. The Veggy Goan Curry was also excellent, both a bargain at £17 each 👍
Drinks are reasonably priced which is another good thing 👍
Service is good with the staff being attentive and helpful.
It is a nice place to eat, with great food and its local too. Lots of people rave about it, so maybe I was just unlucky that night..?
It won't put me off going again, I'll just be more careful with what I order next time 😉

We had the 8 course tasting menu. We were seated in the conservatory area which unfortunately had tables that meant you couldn't move your legs or sit comfortably. It also meant you were away from the buzz of a restaurant. The first four courses were wonderful. The steak was particularly rare, mine alot more than my husbands. Three courses of desserts was a bit too much dessert and the only one that stood out was the macaroon. The wine pairings were ok, not sure 40 pound for 5 small glasses of wine which includes a dessert wine was decent? Staff were lovely and when trying to tip we were directed to a website that charged a fee to tip and then froze several times so we didn't end up being able to tip. I didn't feel like the experience was worth the money. Also being charged for coffees seems mean when you have already paid 120 per person.

Went for a birthday dinner on a Sunday. The food was incredible and the servers were attentive. Small menu but this just ensures the quality of the food is top notch. We had the Salmon and Beef roasts, both were great (special mention to the roast potatoes which were 👌 ).

We got a warm welcoming and friendly staff with a lovely atmosphere. Food was cooked by Thomas the head chef. Food he cooked was a work of art you didnt want to brake it up to eat it. Reasonably priced food and drinks. A hidden gem and a must visit if you like beautiful food. Will be definitely going back.
