Good size bedrooms but needing a face lift, ( handles missing on furniture) and worn. Food breakfast menu, good selection. Evening menu poor, dishes served not as described on menu list. Otherwise, good beer and drinks selection and very pleasant staff at a fantastic location.

Lovely personable staff. Food was absolutely fantastic, we requested an off menu steak and that was amazing too. Just a very friendly and nice place to visit. Dog friendly for eating outdoors too!

Nice pub with nice staff. Good room. Good food.
Only complaint is the water pressure would vary from blasting power at times to no water at all or maybe just enough dribble to brush your teeth. Don't plan on taking a shower at a specific time!

Food quality average. Too pricey for what you get. Very limited dinner selection and mostly not traditional. If you are the only pub around for miles and will attract a lot of walkers, it would be more desirable to have some traditional dishes like beef and ale stew, meat and veg dishes, etc. it is disappointing to walk miles in the countryside to finish the day with food of this poor quality. Suggest focus on pub favourite foods, make them well and don’t charge so much if the quality isn’t there.

Went for a late Sunday lunch. Sat in the terrace garden. Service and drinks were good, but about half the menu was unavailable.
Could well have been a better rating if we'd been there earlier.
Dog friendly.

Lovely traditional long established pub/ inn nestled in the heart of the wonderful Surrey Hills. After a walk of cycle this pub offers a great friendly welcome (no issues with foot attire, muddy or cleated). You’ll receive a heartfelt hello and quickly offered a comprehensive range of local bees and extensive wine list, teas and coffees and differing menu throughout the day (healthy breakfasts for the outward bound). Clean and characterful well worth a visit, even just to top up your bidon bottle, just ask for Kev!

The Pub is in a lovely setting and has a cosy feel to it. It would have been 5 stars however the manager made us feel unwelcome and I noticed he was disrespectful to his staff. It really soured our experience. The other staff were nice and helpful. I probably wouldn't come back unless it changes hands.

Lovely location, friendly welcome. Service slow which was odd as we were early booking, roast Sunday dinner looked good, but vegetables and beef undercooked. Beer was excellent.
