Drinks and food were great, staff seem to be still learning, what we weren’t informed about was the 10% service charge on the bill, including the drinks which I fetched from the bar myself but, given the location, we would use the pub when back in the area again

Nice cosy and friendly.
Nice staff also.
It is rather expensive and a 10% surcharge added to my bill for 4 drinks and just 3 puddings was rather sneaky in my opinion. I give tips however dont like it sneaked into the bill to notice later.

Had dinner here sat 3rd and the food was awful.
The starter was far to salty and topped with too much rock salt.
Had the chicken burger for main and the chicken was OK but the bun was clearly old and was rock hard. When it was mentioned after the staff didn't say or do anything.
Overall not a good experience.

Risotto with wild mushrooms is scrumptious. For dessert, chocolate fondant is excellent! Service is also very good. We ordered a kids brownie with ice cream for our 3 & 5 year old to share. It was served in two plates - very kind!

An excellent restaurant with a really good choice on the menu. I shall certainly dine here again. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Didn't have a meal so can't comment. The pub is lovely, very good service and a great atmosphere.

A lovely village pub, the staff were very friendly and polite. Unfortunately we did not have a great experience with the food. We waited a long time for it to be bought out and when it finally arrived, we found it to be quite plain, for the money we expected nicer food. Sides (a sauce and some vegetables) came out very late, by that time half of us had finished and the others dinners were cold. Credit to them, they took the cost of the vegetables off the final bill. We would return for Drinks definitely but unfortunately not food.
