Great food, great atmosphere and live music in their little courtyard the last time we were there. Best of all, they make our dogs feel at home and the staff all welcome them in 🙂

We are a local business to the D&B. We decided to have our staff party here with some food and drinks. Ryan, who was in charge on the night was fantastic and very helpful. The whole night was enjoyable apart from the food. The food quality was appalling for the price they are charging. I have attached a photo. We were all having such good time on the night I decided not to complain which I would have done if I had wanted a refund or more food (which I didn't). As a local business, I decided to send an email to the manager, Graham (I think), to give some constructive feedback. He got extremely argumentative with me and complained to me about not raising the issue on the night. He was so rude and just did not want to hear any feedback. God only knows what response I would have had complained on the night. He ended the phone call by hanging up on me (good way for a manager to act)! We will never be returning and I would advise if you do visit ---- don't complain!

It’s taken me a little while to post this (sorry).

We had the most fabulous stay at The Dog & Badger for my partners birthday. The bright and friendly gentleman Ryan was there on our arrival. He showed us to our room whilst telling us some interesting history about the pub/cottages.

The room was really quirky and had a beautiful bath tub with all the facilities one would need. Just a few low beams to look out for but that was no issue.

Dinner was delicious & reasonably priced. The pies were delicious, as were the starters. The pork belly bites were great!

They left some breakfast items (which we weren’t expecting) in our fridge for the morning which was very kind.

We can’t thank Ryan and the other lovely lady working in the restaurant that evening (sorry we didn’t get her name) for such a lovely stay, food, atmosphere and overall experience.

THANK YOU!

Only used the place as a half way house meeting point after our son recommended the venue. What a lovely place, and we were hosted, waited on and made very welcome by the host. The menu is basic fare, but we will definitely be going again.

Stunning hotel, a hybrid of luxury modern decor and rich history combined with a lovely pub with tasty food. Definitely worth visiting, as the service was faultless and Ryan a font of knowledge about the quirky place.

TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED !!!!!
5 of us stopped for lunch. 2 of us ordered fish&chips and 2 goat cheese pie and 1 something else...
1 of each item arrived and took like 20 mins for the rest to appear.
I particularly asked the barman if there are many chips coming with the fish for a super hungry man ?? Or shall I get an extra portion with it ?
It didn't come!!!!!
The fish was extremely oily, also instead of creamy mashupea only green pea arrived. Not to mention not enough mayo and had to ask for salt and pepper for the table.
THIS SERVICE IS NOT WHAT YOU EXPECT FOR A £17 MEAL !!!!!

Fantastic pub! Such a great vibe, staff extremely friendly - told us about the history of the pub and offered us to try all sorts of ales before we choose one. Really chill I strongly recommend.
