Rose & Crown

Been here for breakfast four times. However today the standard of food was slightly down with a increase in cost. We had to ask for the toast to be put on a side plate as it was just dumped on the breakfast. Also had to ask for butter and sauces. The young lady that served us was very polite but lacked total experience.
Will think twice before going back. Two breakfast with two drinks £25. Such a shame as always had fab breakfasts

Dreadful service and no management present. Recently went to Rose and Crown for Sunday dinner, 5pm and it was dead (everywhere else fully booked) there was one other couple sat in the dining area. The young girl got our drinks and took orders within the first 5 minutes.

I finished my drink 30 minutes later, no food at this point and not another look from the very young staff which were joking with each other at the bar area. I went to the bar to order another drink, no option of 'don't worry sir i'll bring it over for you' or anything of the sort. At 5.45 my daughter was starving and tired (place still empty) no sight of any staff checking in on my table since the order was taken. I approached the bar as the youngsters were giggling and talking amongst themselves to an older guy at the bar, I moaned and said this isn't good enough, no-one wanted to deal with my complaint and the young lady Emma or Emily was abrupt and dismissive of my complaint. An older chap talked to me and said he was going to call the owners, he then disappeared completely and never came back!!!!!!

I asked for the owners to call me today and left my detail, I was assured this would happen between 9am-2pm and shocker, no call received still and it's 3pm! Take some responsibility!!!!

The service I received was so so poor. An empty pub on a Sunday afternoon when everywhere else is fully booked is a fine sign to say never go there again!! I live in the village and I will be advising all of my experience and not be going back there again. Don't put youngsters in charge when they have no service skills. POOR!!!!!!

Amazing B&B. Perfect breakfast. Super clean. Very happy here. Wish I worked over this way more often.

Went here while on a holiday to Walton the best food we have ever had in a restaurant highly recommend! Staff was lovely too!

Popped in this morning for a delicious breakfast. Cooked fresh, lovely and hot. Plenty of food. Would recommend 😄

Popped in for dinner. Husband had the burger. It was so small for the price, you could barely find it and it was overcooked. When you spend that much on burger and chips you really do expect a decent size burger. Sadly won’t be re visiting. Disappointed as had breakfast there a few weeks back and it was good.
It took a long time for the food to come, which is ok as you know it’s generally cooked fresh.
Sadly it all seems to be run by youngsters who have no idea how to serve people. Better training should be given. Very disappointing.

We have been using this place quite often but the recent visit was one to forget. Only one staff member behind the bar and also waiting on tables. The food was burnt and luke warm. Won't be going back.

The room is lovely, I slept well, plenty of tea and coffee. The people are lovely and friendly and welcoming. I will definitely come again
