Mahzen

The food at mahzen was amazing, can't wait to go back again. We managed to get a walk in seat mid week. Would recommend the sharing 4 person option.

Both the food and the service here was fantastic. The attention to detail from Kerry was second-to-none. The food was excellent; the lamb extremely tender and the chicken beautifully succulent. The prices are more than reasonable at less than £5 a pint and £15 - £20 per course. The hot meze is ideal to feed two as a starter, and at £20, represents good value in my opinion.

Amazing food and great service. I was with a group of 18 so didn't know what to order but the girls there were brilliant in helping out with that and with generally looking after us.

Excellent food and hosts. However, we had a toddler who had just turned 3 yesterday. She couldn't reach for her food or drink when eating. I had to feed her and ended up putting our jackets on her chair to give her a boost so she could reach the table. It's really a shame that they don't have high chairs. I could have given a 5 star however, because of no high chair it has to be a 4.

We have been visiting to the Mahzen restaurant since they opened some years ago. Normally we visit as a couple on a regular fortnightly bases, usually on a Saturday evening. However, we often take friends on our regular visits and other days of the week, as we know they will enjoy the evening. Family birthdays are always celebrated here, so sometimes a large group. Food arrives all together with a smile and is always hot.
The food is fantastic, and we have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is great and as I am an atmosphere person it makes me feel relaxed and comfortable. The staff are friendly, courteous, and professional having been well trained by the owners who themselves are professional, friendly, and everything and more that you could wish for. I can honestly say that of all the restaurants that I have visited over many years the Mahzen rates as one of the best, in fact I would go as far as saying possibly the best.
We only used the takeaway service twice during the pandemic not expecting too much but it was equal to the food served in the restaurant.

Unfortunately I only had time to grab a takeaway, lamb chops, which were accompanied by rice, side salad and dips. Probably the most perfect lamb chops that I have ever sampled.

Headed here for dinner tonight. Staff very pleasent. Had a meat share plate for 4 bwtween 3 as we are big eaters and it was lovely. All the near was so flavoursome and tender. Had sole flat breads so kept making little kebabs! Awesome!
Would come back for sure.
