Larder

My partner took me here as a birthday surprise. I can honestly say I have never tasted food like this. It was exquisite. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and they explained every course to us in detail. If you want to experience fine dining, I definitely recommend the Larder in my opinion it was without doubt the best restaurant I have ever been to. We will certainly be returning inthe future 😀

Took my fiancee to Larder for our anniversary, food was incredible, cod was perfectly cooked, as was my ribeye steak. Pigs cheek and Beignets were gorgeous and the peppercorn sauce for the steak was inspired as it was more like a gravy. My only negative comment, and it is a small one is that it lacked atmosphere although it was busy.

Had a lovely meal here today. My fella had the pork Schnitzel and I had the corn fed chicken with pathia sauce, we also had the lemon tart and I had the pineapple with walnuts, can't remember the name but that was lovely too... The meals and surroundings were very nice and the staff were attentive and friendly. We liked the way the food was presented and described by the server...it was like being on MasterChef! Cocktails were nice too!

Good quality food. The steak was superb. Cocktails were also nice. The pesto butter was wonderful with the bread and the staff were attentive. Food took a little bit longer than expected but it was a fully booked Saturday evening service and the drinks were flowing in the meantime. Great Restaurant all-round. Will be back for sure and bring visitors.

Fabulous experience for Sunday lunch & very reasonably priced. The menu had a relatively small, but perfectly acceptable number of options for each course, and there was definitely something for everyone (meat, fish & vegetarian/vegan options). We all found it difficult to chose between the delicious dishes on offer. Extra courses of bread & pesto butter before the starter and a fudge sweet each with the bill were served. Everyone loved every course & we all commented on the incredible flavours. We had roasts for the mains and it was probably the best I’ve ever had. The sides of vegetables were delicious and generously-sized and the extra portion of hot gravy was a thoughtful touch. The staff were incredibly friendly & attentive, and each course arrived quickly. The drinks selection was excellent and also very reasonably priced. The whole experience was faultless and we will definitely be back.

The best birthday meal ever!!! Such lovely staff and a beautiful restaurant. The food was fantastic - great choice and taste!!! Made my day extra special with a card and free cocktail during my meal. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Staff were wonderful, food fantastic, drinks scrumptious. Would definitely recommend. Not normally a fan of sticky toffee pudding but this was the best I’ve ever had! Salmon gravalax starter looked and tasted brilliant. Only qualm was my main wasn’t as hot as it could have been, but the experience was so enjoyable I happily overlooked it. For a none expensive restaurant the food was so tasty.
This place is relaxed, informal bur professional.
Each course is explained well.
The staff are friendly and welcoming.
I highly recommend The Larder as the food which is the reason for going is excellent.
If they still do the crab taco starter go for it. So refreshing. I'd have the mini poached apple spheres in it as a starter on there own - Awesome.
