Nando's Oxford - Cowley Road

We had a wonderful, plentiful and flavorful Family Chicken platter with Macho Peas (slightly spiced), rice, and chips (fries for the Americans) and if came to eat with at least one more friend, you can stop reading and just order it. You won't be disappointed, but you might not be able to finish it.

After ordering at the counter, you pick up the soft drinks at another counter along with the extra sauce that you might want. Mix-and-match if you dare - they have some really soul-crushing hot sauces there.
If you ordered alcohol, they'll bring that to your table.

It wasn't crowded when we got there around 5pm, but it filled up shortly after - it is a very popular place, apparently.

The decor is bright combined with cozy, plus some modern art on the walls makes it look, dare I say, trendy?

If you are in Oxford, definitely stop by...

Normally good. For takeaway, set a timeslot 10min earlier than your target arrival. Also last time they didn't have any sauce sachets for takeaway - nandos with sauces?? might as well skip.

Service quick, food nice enough, but the place needs a good clean, any surface that wasn't a table or food surface was filthy. Like in the toilets, the little rim on top of tiles, on top of the alarm, air freshners etc, anywhere except the few obvious places was covered in thick layer of dust like it clearly hasn't been cleaned or wiped in months and months. Just as well we didn't go to the loo until the end of the meal or it would have really put me off. We won't be going back to that one.

Fantastic food and service! The chicken pitta was good and the chips were fresh. I’d like to commend Anna who was really polite and provided great customer service. I’ll definitely return

Great Food. Friendly customer service however if the tables are full you will have to wait 15mins for a free seat. I like how you can refill your drink as many times as you want.

Long wait for table nearly an hour we went on a Sunday around 7pm so book in advance. Food great as usual always the same standard that's why we go back lots!! Very friendly guy looked after us well smiling even though obviously very pressured with many people waiting and getting irate

First visit to Nando's Oxford-Cowley Road; Nice food and great service..! Grilled-chicken was very tasty and fresh. My special thanks to Umesh & Kassim who served with customer-centric approach.
