Oscar Fish Bar

Fish is fluffy and very nice
chips lovely
pizza but bland but it is a fish bar

First and last time of ordering take-away from there. Awful quality: kebab wrap was just 'meh', not really worth £6, the "Luxury Bailey's cheesecake" was half-frozen and had a very off-putting texture, not to mention the hideous presentation (only ended up eating the chocolate from the top). Deep-fried scampi did not contain regular scampi, but a strange mash that was deep-fried (again, left uneaten since we weren't sure what was in it).. We also got a large Pepsi that we didn't even order.
Wasted lots of money, rang them unhappy and received only £6 refund after putting up a fight.

Oh, and the photo of a delicious looking kebab wrap on their account here is a rip-off from another website. It looks nothing like it in person, trust me.

Bit of a dump. Small chips £2.50. Went in at 13:30 on a Friday, the guy doesn’t look up. When I get his attention, he says they open at 2 on a Friday.
A) if true, that’s mental
B) Google says they open at 11am.

I won’t bother going back.

Ordered 2x Large Fish & chips for delivery £22 delivered don’t waste your money worst fish & chips ever

Chips were overcooked and soggy, medium cod was more like a small size with soggy fish and batter. Overcooked sausage that had looks like it had been cooked battered and cooked again. Only went here as star fish anf chips was closed. Not great at all. Soggy and mushy.

I've never complained about any food places before and I tried to give Oscars the benifit of the doubt each time my partner has wanted to order from here. Sometimes the food has been great, but on 3 different occasions there was hair in my food & I felt so sick that I couldn't eat it. Today's order came with this hair & that's the last time I ever order from here. 🤢

The 2nd week in a row the food has been overcooked/reheated. Last week the battered sausages were burnt and this week a mince and onion pie was inedible.
I will never order from this place again & I would recommend others to steer clear.
This once really good chippy, has really gone downhill.
Extremely disappointed.

When I first moved to Bridgwater and discovered Oscars I was pleasantly surprised and happy with my order, however 1 occasion food wasn't as nice as previous, gave the benefit of doubt, and ordered again arrived earlier then planned but only by 30mins-1hr, gave it a few months and have just ordered again, almost 2hrs earlier then requested!!! What's the point in being able to choose a time if they can't read a bloody order detail!!! 3 strikes your out I'm afraid.... shall take business else where no point phoning to question this as they just say click on time wanted
