I Went there today with my dad, We had cod and chips. The cod was completely out of this world...Boneless and skinless! I am normally really fussy with my fish but it was all perfect.
The owners/staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them.
Everything was cooked absolutely perfect and tasted amazing too. We Will definitely be going back again..

This place really does deserve as many five stars as it can get, the food is amazing! Had a bit of a delivery hiccup to start with, all food came cold first time after over an hour waiting ended up being a similar address was instructed to the driver, rang up very helpful woman got another sent out and first one collected, no fuss and when it came piping hot the second time oh my has it cured the extreme belly ache from not having eaten much for a couple days! Genuinely the best scampi, cheesy chips, chicken nuggets AND onion rings I've had from any takeaway in the city well done ladies and gents

Ordered off just eat, had to wait nearly 2 hours for delivery but OMG the wait was worth it. Beautiful good sized cod bites in perfect batter, curry sauce had a subtle but just enough curry taste, chips are no longer just chips, these were the best chips I've had in Norwich for years.
10/10, excellent, will be ordering again, looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.

I ordered from Ubereats as there was a good promotion on...Have ordered fish and chips due to the situation at the moment before from other places and have been very disappointed...Food was a little delayed due to a problem in their kitchen...They apologised and offered a further discount off next order..Which was not necessary. But have to say it was well worth the wait. Fish and chips very good and large pots of sauces....Curry and mushy peas fab...I will be ordering again without hesitation...Thank you.

Ordered food at 11.47 on 30th November with an expected delivery time of between 12.35 -12.55...13.15 came and still no food. Called restaurant to be told they were busy and food would be delivered at 13.50. When pointing out that that was over 2 hours after ordering and that we hadn't even been updated she said the driver was on another delivery and then had to deliver to us and would be 45 minutes. So now it was going to be delivered at 14.00 not 13.50 as she had just said! After we discussed that it would take us just as long to go to mcdonalds to get something we decided to not cancel if they were sure it wouldn't be after 14.00....14.00 came and went and it finally arrived at 14.06 ....TWO HOURS AND TWENTY MINUTES after originally ordered. The expected delivery time never changed! They weren't even sorry! This was meant to be a treat for my mums birthday. I had to pick up my disabled niece which this delay made me late for (i am aware they weren't to know this but it was such a long delay that it had a massive impact) It takes 2 seconds to turn just eat and uber eats off if an establishment is too busy to honour the orders being received! Better than getting many extremely annoyed customers! Will NEVER order from here again!

The food is always great from Royalls but unfortunately they advertise a cheese, leek and onion pie as vegan when it isn't. We called and spoke to them about this after having ordered and eaten it and feeling unwell afterwards but they still haven't amended the listing on any of their delivery sites. This was at least 2 months ago now. We were very understanding of the mistake and didn't even really complain, we just wanted them to amend it so other people didn't end up ordering it in the future. The fact that they haven't amended their menus is quite a concern given the potential risk of allergy sufferers ordering it. It also makes us feel unsure of their other "vegan" options such as the nuggets, as we can't be certain they are actually vegan. Other than this issue the food we've had has always been really tasty and I would recommend Royalls.

AVOID THIS RESTAURANT! Received someone else's order. Phoned immediately and advised the lady who answered. Could hear her having a conversation with another man questioning the order and could hear him saying " the bag was labelled". No apology made either! After such confusion with the restaurant, the driver made his way back to us with the correct food. However the bag was completely ripped/teared open alongside all of its content. For all we know the food may have been delivered to someone else prior to arriving to us. We passed the incorrect food to the driver and he was planning on delivering it to the "correct" address. With the current covid situation, I stated this must not be redelivered as we had opened it and originally requested a "contact free delivery" which was NOT carried out. The driver rudely/bluntly said "I will return it to the shop then" as if the contamination risks hadn't even entered his mind. Just Eat clearly takes no responsibility for this despite how serious this situation is! Food was absolutely awful after all of this hassle. Waste of money!! AVOID!!!!!!!!

I have a fondency for battered sausage and chips and thought I'd try Royalls for a change with a friend.

There is outside seating where you can wait for your order to be prepared, and the service was fast and friendly.

My sausage and chips was excellent, came in a sturdy box, and was very good value for money.

I shall be happy to return.
