This chip shop was recommended to me to try when I was in the area, so glad I got chance to try it, the fish and chips were stunning best batter I’ve ever tasted it just melted in ya mouth and freshly cooked to order, the staff were very pleasant and the place looked spotlessly clean, can’t wait to go again, highly recommend

AVOID. Don't be fooled by the photos, the quality is low. WHY does this place have such a high rating ?!!! Waited over 20 minutes just to get over cooked battered tasteless fish and the worst tasting chips I have had in years, soggy and pale and weird tasting. £33 for 3 fish and 2 chips, taking the P1ss !!!

Enjoyed a haddock and chips and a chips and baked beans. Portion sizes could have been slightly bigger but most chippies have huge waste on massive portions so I could understand this. Service was friendly and the restaurant clean and busy (even at lunch time on a Wednesday) - a thoroughly pleasant chip shop lunch!

Has a great reputation and deservedly so. Chunky, proper piece of haddock and tasty chips. Curry sauce very nice too 👌

Great service and lovely fish and chips. Nice seating indoors. Portions are quite small at £10 a portion, when they arrived I thought we might have ordered the smalls but the bill said otherwise. We eat a lot of fish and chips in Tyne and wear so maybe we are spoilt. Next time we are this way for fish and chips I think we'll try the one on the market square

Had lovely haddock & chips mushy peas and not forgetting a nice pot of tea. I has to wait for minutes for a table due to the limit of customer due to Covid. But it was well worth the wait. I was served very quickly, as the fish is fry to order there is a wait but who wants a bit of fish that’s been sitting for a time. I look forward to my next visit to this restaurant when I am back in Settle

We love this fish and chip shop. The batter is so light and yummy to eat. Service very good and friendly. Salad was so fresh. Good sized potions. Very handy for takeout aswell as just across from the car park .
