Quirky cafe with friendly staff. Food was a bit hit and miss, but for a cup of tea and cake you can't go far wrong.

Although I didn't go and be a customer I found the owner very rude, understanding that unless I'm a customer I can't use the toilet is fine. But to be very snarky about it and because I didn't have cash she kicked me being very rude about her mannour

The waitress didn't seem too pleased to have any customers turning up. We sat down and were deciding what to order for around 10 minutes but when we went to the till to order we were told the chef didn't want to cook for large groups anymore that day. Not entirely sure how true this is. Wonder if we'd come as 2 groups of 4 we would have been given the same answer or if the chef just couldn't be bothered to do his job. We ended up going to a lovely cafe just down the road instead. Would not recommend if you want to be served food.

Rude, refused a 30 week pregnant woman to use the toilet and said it was a pound for gas and electric. It’s basically law to let a pregnant woman use the toilet. I am mortified. I would have bought a drink afterwards as came to visit the area for the day. Disgusted! She must of been having a bad day felt sorry for the woman to be honest.

My Husband and I with our two dogs spent a lovely lunchtime here.
Most of the eateries in the area were shut (probably because it was a Thursday and out of season) and seeing the 'dogs welcome' sign made the decision to dine here an easy one.
So glad we did. The server was a lovely lady who brought us two sausages for the dogs and was very understanding when the puppy was still a bit lively after we had sat down.
My Husband had the full breakfast & I had poached eggs on toast. Can't speak for my Husband but my meal was wonderful. The bread was hand cut (nice & thick) and the eggs were perfect.
Real fire was a bonus as it was a chilly day.
The only downside is that it was a cash only eatery. Not a problem, cashpoint over the road.
Thanks for a great meal, will be back.

Nice little cafe on the main street with inside and outside eating available.
Not many veggie options though but enough to pick a decent meal from. Good selection of deserts to be had to finish off a meal.
Well cooked tasty food at very reasonable prices served by efficient staff makes this a recommend little cafe.

Visited today, found the waitress to be unorganised, think on her own. Forgot to bring out sauces till the end, to late. And no sugar for the brew ( small cup), had to find my own. Basic but could do better.

Popped in just before 3pm on a Sunday on the off chance they were still doing Sunday dinner... Happy they were!
Sat by a cozy log fire, homecooked dinner with bread and butter and rhubabrd crumble for afters!
Thanks for having us!
