Sawadee Thai

I love Thai food, and this place is great! The food is delicious and perfectly cooked, but most importantly, they actually listened when I told them about my food allergies! If you have allergies, you know how amazingly rare that is, especially if it's not one of the standard 14! And, when they once accidentally sent me an order with the wrong meat, they replaced it quickly, with no problems.

Ordered several different tofu dishes, tofu was dry and flavourless and veggies under and over cooked (in the same sauce). Aubergine was chewy. Pad Thai noodles were overcooked and had an unpleasant smell and taste.
Arrived on time. Duck dish and plain rice were tasty.

The food here is really really poor. Our meals turned up an hour late and cold. The rice container was only half full. The Thai curries were the consistency of water without any depth of flavour, thickness or even any other ingredients in the dish apart from the meat; and btw my duck was hard and chewy. I visited the establishment to complain ... total denial and uncaring attitude from the owner. A waste of £24. For those of you who have rated this as good food, can i recommend that you just try another establishment for comparison.

I was eagerly awaiting my two dish meal and hoping to find a new favourite takeaway that doesn't involve Indian or Chinese food. Pad Thai with prawns was Ok. Five or six prawns only though so not hugely generous given the £7.45 price. The plastic container was only three quarters full which disappointed me given the portions I've had at other Thai places. Slightly overcooked too I have to say... ... Most disappointing was the Pad Khing with tofu which was tiny (it didn't even fill half the container) plus was lacking at least two of the advertised flavours. I could have done much better using what I had in my cupboards. And I didn't HAVE much in my cupboards at that time. Veg was quite limp. I should have called and told the guys at Sawadee in person what I have written here but didn't want them to think I was attempting to freeload. I notice that they don't respond to reviewers on here and they really should do so if they care about improving standards and getting repeat orders which I will not be doing unfortunately... Very sad as I love supporting small businesses. READ AND RESPOND TO REVIEWS, SAWADEE!!

Pad thai was nice, and beef Nuea Pad Keemao had some nice flavours. Lots of duck in the Ped Grob Pad Gra Pao but was way too salty. Fairly decent overall. Order for collection was on time.

First time ordered tonight… flavours lovely but way too salty 😳 also coconut rice turned up like rice pudding all gunged together not how a lovely coconut rice should be, get these 2 things right and it would have been lovely

We have ordered here a few times and each time it has left us wanting more! Ignore the negative reviews. The portions are fair, the prices are unbeatable and most importantly the food at this place really does taste fantastic!! And that's coming from a major foodie.

Ordered via Just eat and they had said that it was delivered it wasn't.
Called and they said it was sitting there waiting for the driver to collect. 30 mins later still no food we called back and we had an apology.
This is the second time this has happened, poor service.
