The food was lovely, couldn't fault it, the service however was not.
There were seven of us in the party, we had the table booked for 3 hours. We had the set meal, two of which ordered steak. We were asked how we wanted it cooked, but when it arrived, we were told by the waitress it was a set menu, and they were all cooked the same way. When we advised her we were asked how we wanted it cooked, she rolled her eyes at us; this was not the first time. Several of the waitresses rolled their eyes at us when asked for something.

Great food, lovely atmosphere, the only downside was the limited Sunday evening menu and the lack of options remaining due to selling out.
What we had was great, but would have liked more of a choice and more than one option of dessert - we ended up skipping this as none of us liked the remaining option.
Would return again, maybe not on a Sunday eve.

Overall a lovely night out. Limited menu on a Sunday but it I'll eat anything so went for the kebab. It was delicious!
Drinks are really expensive so only had the one cocktail!

Staff are lovely and the guy who was playing a live acoustic set was phenomenal, could listen to him for hours!

Our bill was incorrect and was overcharged for some drinks we didnt have but that was rectified by staff.

Lovely atmosphere and worth a visit.

We came here at 18:30 for a Sunday roast. When we arrived we were told that they were out of all of the roast options (even though we called the day before to ask if this is likely to happen and they said it was incredibly rare). As we were looking at the menu, we were then told that they did have roast options, they had managed to prepare items that they had previously run out of.
We ordered 3 starters and 2 pork belly and 1 lamb roast. The starters were to die for! The hummus, the calamari and the chicken wings were all delicious.
Then the roasts came out. The lamb was beautiful but both pork belly slices were very small and one was about half the size of the other! We commented to the waitress who was very apologetic and said that they would discount us as that was the last of the pork. Then a gentleman came out and offered us some beef in addition to the pork which was very kind. The beef was very nice.
We then ordered dessert, 1 chocolate fondant brownie, 1 cookie dough and 1 mango and strawberry cheesecake. The waitress told me that the cheesecake didn't come with pieces of mango and strawberry but was still delicious. I thought the actual cheesecake was mango and strawberry flavour but it wasn't; It was vanilla flavour and the only thing that made it mango and strawberry was the missing fruit! I was really disappointed because the menu is quite misleading and the waitress didn't really explain herself very well. I told the waitress I wasn't happy and she was really lovely and offered to get me something else. I ordered the lemon tart instead and I'm so glad I did because it was probably the best lemon tart I've ever eaten!
When it came to the bill we were charged full price instead of the Sunday roast offer so I had to ask for it to be rectified.
Overall the atmosphere was fantastic (apart from the music being a bit too loud), the staff were fantastic and despite a few mistakes being made, I still wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Great place to chill and listen to some good deep house music on the roof top bar, which is a great environment with its fire pit and heaters. The setting is great and has a really nice vibe, we also ate in the restaurant 1 floor below and again great atmosphere, not too cramped and the decor is great which adds to the vibe. Food is good and service is on point. My new favourite place in Cardiff 😁

Lovely meal for a birthday. Quick service and provided everything asked for. Not too pricey and absolutely stunning food! Made a birthday feel special - topper on drink saying happy birthday

We went for bottomless brunch at The Botanist after being given gift vouchers. The only option was a build your own board which came with a variety of breakfast foods. Nothing was hot, the croque Monsieur felt like it had been heated up and left for a while rather than made fresh and my egg Benedict was like a hard boiled egg and barely warm. The service was fine and we were able to have a reasonable number of drinks. I've had fine evening meals at The Botanist but I'd never go for brunch again.

Absolutely lovely service from all the staff, great recommendations on food choices, friendly and genuine. The cocktails are delicious and the bartenders made requests not on the menu which is a lovely touch. Not an extensive food menu but still plenty of choice and the food is delicious and beautifully presented.
