It was also the same sauce they used for the arrabbiata. Which again, tasted fine but not very fresh. It was microwaved and so the pasta had a weird texture, the chicken pieces in it were quite bland but cooked properly.
We also had the bolognese which was honestly so disappointing, you’d think an Italian restaurant would be able to do a good bolognese. But it was extremely greasy with a pool of oil at the bottom of the plate and there was barely any sauce, the mince was pretty dry.
Cloudy lemonade did not taste much of lemonade. It was the same color as fresh cloudy apple juice. And it tasted like it was lemonade mixed with that. Quite strange.
Service was very good though, the servers were friendly and attentive.
Unfortunately the visit felt almost spoiled by the attitude of servers. It did take a good 20 minutes for us to even have our order taken but the food came out very quickly. When I asked a different server for a sharper knife/ pizza cutter for the pizza she looked at me with a very ‘fed up’ expression and then quite rudely pointed at the table we were sat at if to say go and sit down. After paying we waited for our friend to use the toilet and were stared at by a server who seemed annoyed that we were waiting around. Then whilst going to leave we said thank you (common decency) and were met with a very aggressive ‘bye.’ Nothing else. You would think after spending a considerable amount of money in a restaurant the customer service would be a lot more friendly. I work in the service industry and I understand it can be frustrating but unfortunately I wasn’t the only one in our group who felt the passive aggressiveness of the servers.
All in all; tasty food and drinks. The male server who sat us and took our order was lovely. It’s just a shame it was let down by the attitude of others.
Lovely friendly server (didn't catch their name).
Drinks were very expensive (soft drinks).
Really disappointed that I wasn't allowed to use a voucher to claim a birthday prosecco alongside tesco club card points; especially when clubcard points can't be used on drinks anyway. Just feel like their trying to catch you put rather than actually encourage you in with a free gift.
Even with club card points I felt it was very expensive. Nearly £30 pp for 1 soft drink a starters and a main.
Calamari was amazing! The mozarella were awful, think they'd bought on 3 for 2 in Tesco, id argue that they probably weren't even mozarella.
The mains were nice- burger, chicken milanese, pasta dishes.
The place was boiling hot!!! Even the staff looked like they were too hot bless them.
Overall most of the food was tasty, the server was great but it was expensive and I was disappointed about the vouchers- it would probably stop me returning as I'd look for better offers elsewhere.
Had to wait over an hour for our main course.
No apology, said we’re busy!
I believe they lost our order as other customers who came in half an hour after us were served their food.
An apology and offer of a drink while waiting would have helped.
Staff were not interested.
This is the second time this has happened in the last month.
I did not complain last time but felt I needed to this time.
