SY23 Restaurant

Wow. A really incredible local establishment. We went for the tapas and have only good things to say about them. Not only were they absolutely delicious, and showed this place was worthy of its Michelin star, but the local ingredients and fresh cooking made each plate uniquely lovely. Furthermore, they were well priced, with high quality beef or sea bass at £10.50 a plate!, which is far better than you would find in many cities. The drinks were also delicious and reasonably priced. In fact, we were so satisfied with our meals that we decided to come back in the evening and bring the Thursday special fish and chips to our family for dinner, which were delicious, crisp and fresh, as well as being genuinely cheap at £10 a box. On top of all of this the waiting staff were kind and friendly.

A definite must try for dining in the area.

Second visit to SY23 for us - first time since the restaurant gained a Michelin star. The whole evening was superb. It’s rare to get to the end of a tasting menu & be unable to pick out a favourite course - because they were all so good. We highly recommend people making the journey.

We had waited over two years to visit and drove four hours to get there and it was amazing and worth every penny. Food was fantastic and the feel and atmosphere was just perfect. Would definitely recommend and will be going back at some point or potentially moving to aberystwyth 😂🤣 thank you to Nathan and his brilliant team for a fantastic dining experience.

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. My husband and I bought this experience for each other for Christmas, and it didn't disappoint!! food was amazing. We had the added extra wine package, which really compleated the whole experience, Staff melted into the background but always seemed to be there if needed. The explanation of the food and wine was well presented and really helpful.
Highly recommended and will be going again.

We saw Chef Nathan on the Great British Menu TV show and just had to come and try the tasting menu.
We are fussy eaters and nearly everything was a brand new experience and honestly...the best food we have ever had! Genuinely inspiring and we are converts!
The atmosphere, vibe and all the staff helped to make it such a cool place to eat and we can't wait to come back.
They have a great approach with fresh local ingredients, catch of the day and foraged items.
Worth every penny.

A brilliant experience, with a well thought out and balanced menu. The food was outstanding with the dishes explained professionally by very attentive staff. I've read that the music has been a problem to some people but I felt it added to the atmosphere and Nathan's style of food.

Michelin star award winning Fine Dining at it's best 👌 From delicious food to cocktails, from customer service to smallest details, entertainment, ambiance, live music , clientèle and the location ! Aaahh you name it , this place has it !!! You want to feel special and want to feel good , want to have a good night out or a day time breakfast or lunch in a stunning atmosphere , this is your place ! It's the most stylish place in Aber ! and a massive credit to the town ! I highly recommend this place to people who enjoy fine dining and won't mind putting their hands in their pockets ! If you're looking for cheesy chips and fatty fish I'm afraid you'll be in the wrong place as not all clientèle will appreciate the fine dining !!! xxx
