The Granary

Absolutely fabulous place. Excellant service and excellant food. Not very often all 10 of us eat in a restaurant and all be happy, but the granary was perfect. Clean plates all round. Love it! If youbare ever in or near Newtown check it out.

Gourmet food. The chef makes an excellent combination and selection of ingredients. The ambience is amazing. The cod and the pork were divine.

Excellent roast, beef cooked as well as I have seen anywhere. Good drinks selection, good sercive. Happy.

Very nice restaurant. I ordered from the early bird menu, 3 courses for £19.95. The set menu is quite short, but has an option for most tastes.

I had the Salmon and Dill fishcake starter, which was very good. The fishcake may have been slightly over done, but the vinaigrette on the salad was incredibly tasty.

My main was the Spicy Chicken Salad, which had much more chicken than I expected, I'm not so into anchovies, but they were okay in the salad.

For dessert I had the White Chocolate Brulee, it was amazing and had that signature crack to get through the top of the Brulee.

Our waitress was incredibly professional and attentive. I would happily come back to The Granary on my next visit to Newtown.

Amazing food! Loved the rose poach pear starter, the flavours were so fresh and complemented each other so good.
And the fillet of hake with prawns and peas, omg! Delicious! It's a must try when in Newtown, Powys.

A lovely unpretentious ambiance, outstanding food and service, and the restaurant itself (with courtyard area for a pre-drink) was delightful. The Granary is possibly my best ever restaurant experience.

Nice food and very good service. We all enjoyed our dinner.
