What can I say other than great food Steak Ale Pie best I’ve had !! my partner had Chicken ( cooked to order and not warmed up !!) Supreme wonderful creamy sauce good amount of greens to compliment with a beer £38 feeling very satisfied
Service an ambiance of the bar area is relaxed and friendly.
Been coming to the Golden Mile several years fir a variety of occasions would highly recommend glad to see the standard has never dropped!!

This is a well-run gastro pub with inventive dishes at reasonable cost. Food is homeworker. Staff are attentive and efficient. Extensive across the locality. Car parking is on a slope fir mist the spaces but there's extra possibility on the roadside. Only one complaint is the rather reverberant acoustics which can be easily solved with a few soft wall coverings.

Booked a table of 20 for lunch. Food was served all together, beautifully presented and hot. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and would recommend.

Table of 8 for my partners birthday …
We booked weeks in advance and turned up on time , to wait 20 mins outside….
I ordered something simple ,
bangers and mash and we waited 50 mins for mains after our starters ….
I got Cold lumpy mash and very cold fried onions …. With skinny sausages tasted as bad as it looked .
It was Sent back and was quickly reheated to volcanic temperatures in their microwave ! Classy
What the bell has happened.
Our friend had “chicken supreme “
It was stone cold 🥶???
Our previous two visits were fantastic .
New menu , great if you like burgers and food with no soul.
Ordered drinks and extras and we were just forgotten about .
I’ve rated this restaurant before as it was a level above . Sadly something has changed … ???
A complete contrast from our last visit poor evening of cold food and long waits
Eton mess , no sorry it was a shambles and lack of fruit …. It’s a 5 min prep for this how can you get that wrong ?
The bill was fast and we asked for the items missing to be removed off said bill.
Until a reply is heard?
this review is honest and fair and falls far short from previous visits .

Food exemplary, I was unsure if we'd need extra portions of roasties etc...... Well, don't worry,. Loads of food including the meats
The setting is beautiful.
Service..... Nothing to complain about here.
Pricing. Fair, well worth the money!
Overall, great!!!

So good we went twice in one day. We just arrived at our holiday cottage and decided to go for a walk. We found this place and the staff were very friendly. We just had a drink but decided to go for dinner in the evening- although we hadn’t booked they were happy to fit us in. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was amazing. The chefs curry was the best I have ever had in a pub/restaurant. Full of flavour and really good portions! My partner had to finish it as there was too much for me. He lived his pork belly. The presentation was lovely and the atmosphere was calm and warming. A must go if staying local!

Great food, staff a little quick to take off without taking all orders but food didn't disappoint.
