The New Celtic Restaurant

Lovely restaurant in the heart of Aberaeron, next to the harbour. Was desperate for lunch so came to the first place I found after a hike. Table available which was nice as it was a busy lunch hour. Waiters and waitresses all dress up quite nice, tables service. I felt a little underdressed perhaps, I didn't really know the expectation until I walked in. I'd been hiking along the coastal path all morning so my hair was blown, I had ripped jeans and trainers. It's not a dressy restaurant, perhaps a nicer top and smarter shoes would've been better. Looks like it's a popular restaurant for groups, brunches etc. Very nice food, had a chicken burger and chips, can't fault it.

Had a great meal here Wednesday - very unusual approach to cooking and presenting food. I had cauliflower with spices and coconut - was delicious! Partner had chicken supreme but not as you would expect - again a perfect plate of food followed by a chocolate dessert which we shared - a smooth and rich pudding. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Friendly and efficient staff.

Great place staff very helpful and friendly, plenty of room this is my go-to place for a meal lovely food all the times that I've been never had to complain about anything also they inquire if you have any allergies,

We decided to come in here as we fancied a more relaxed environment and it was just that. The food was soooo good and the portion size was great. You could tell everything was cooked fresh and the chicken nuggets were made and not cooked from frozen. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the staff were friendly and attentive

Good quality fish with excellent light batter. We found this gem of a fish and chip shop by personal recommendation from someone we met in Cwmtudu. Tip, a portion of chips is ample for 2! We ordered one portion of fish and chips and one portion of fish, then shared the chips. Ample! Would highly recommend.

Been coming back to this place since 2004. Never fails to impress. Great food, friendly staff and lovely family atmosphere. We had the cod and chips and it is fantastic. Finished up with some desserts. Cracking family restaurant, a must if you are in the area.

It's thanks to Sophie (?) being prepared to spend a few minutes showing us the menu this afternoon that we've returned to The New Celtic Resturant,Aberaeron for an evening meal.
The picture of the Sea Bass doesn't do it justice as I'd already tucked into the coleslaw and the chips but take it from me,the fish was delicious.
The Rhubarb Crumble and Cream was an excellent choice for dessert too,if I do say so myself.
Very friendly staff,pity Sophie(?) had finished her shift as we couldn't thank her in person.
Will be making a point of returning when next in the area.
