The staff is friendly and the food is outstanding. We ordered veg lasagna and chicken popadom rice curry. Both were tasty with generous portions in Pembroke Dock

Really nice little traditional pub. We arrived a couple of minutes before the kitchen closed at 2.30 but the staff were so nice and accommodating and took our order. The food was lovely, good portions and value for money. Would thoroughly recommend.

Looks really inviting from the outside. The inside is basic but that's ok, after all it's about the service and the food. Looking at previous reviews, we had high expectations and were a bit disappointed. Firstly we were told we wouldn't be able to order for some time although only a couple of tables were taken. Odd. The service was friendly but could be a bit more attentive. The food was not as great as we thought it would be. Pretty standard pub food. It looked good and was well presented but lacked flavour. The mussels in a white wine creamy sauce tasted of nothing, which is a shame as it's one of the easiest dishes to make and should taste amazing, particularly by the seaside. Bottom line, we wouldn't go back.

We returned here for Sunday lunch, as we had tried it for food a few months previous and we were impressed!!
On arriving we were shown to our table, there were a few people waiting but only one table of four eating, the service was painfully slow ( waiting over an hour for our lunch). One young girl seemed to be doing everything, bar, waitress and kitchen assistant, there was another staff member floating about but all she seemed to do was talk. We should have left after half an hour waiting but we were hungry so stayed.
We had to take cutlery from an adjoining table as our table wasnt set although reserved.
The lunch arrived after an age, OMG the worst roast we have had, the food was stone cold, the roast pots were hard and WHITE! The pigs in blankets werent even on the plate. Peas and carrots were watery, the yorkshires were burnt - these we could see from our seats were kept in Tupperware boxes on a shelf ( uncovered and cold) and were plonked on the plate just as it left the kitchen. The only hot dish, that we had to pay £1 extra for & I assume the item that was heated in the microwave ( we could hear the tell tale beeps) was the cauli cheese which turned out to be broccolli in what tasted like a blue cheese sauce 🤮 I HATE BLUE CHEESE. If I’m not mistaken the gravy tasted like “maggi” gravy usually used in hospitals and old peoples homes. The whole lunch was tasteless.
On leaving I asked the very busy young lady if the chef had been changed in the last few months to which she replied yes, I told her it showed and said that she could go to the kitchen and tell them that it was the worst meal we have had and that I was taking it home to cook it properly ( I HATE WASTING FOOD especially when you pay £32), there was no apology or any sign of a discount, we wont be back, we’ll keep driving to a place nearby their sunday lunch is outstanding for the same price and cauli cheese is included at no extra cost.
I wish i had asked to see their temperature records to see the holding temperature of the meat and gravy, I did look for a food rating I’m not saying they don’t have one its just not easily seen if they do.

Very good restaurant with a good choice of dishes at a reasonable price. Would advise booking a table at peak times as it seems popular. There is adequate parking alongside the road outside. The inn is situated by the waterside on the corner of a long stretch of terraced houses. The staff are good and the atmosphere is relaxed, seafood is sourced locally and good quality. Be warned they don't skimp on portion sizes 😊 As it is all on the level wheelchair access should be fine.

After a busy stressful week, we decided to get Sunday lunch delivered from the Shipwright as a treat, and it was brilliant. Nicely cooked meat with all the trimmings, generous servings and a really fabulous sticky toffee pudding. Good pub grub and just what we needed. Thank you!

Called in for lunch, food was great and the staff are always lovely. We must have picked the perfect time to visit as it was quiet. But that was good for us

Came in with my mother, wife and kids and we had a great meal. Lovley freindly staff and attentive. Had some issues with stock but we were kept in the loop and were looked after. Also great food. Far from disappointed. Varry impressed with the beetroot pie.
Thanks all
