A good restaurant if you want a good taste of Welsh cuisine and culture. The whole atmosphere and dishes are very nice and give you a sense of Wales. Sadly, the service is slow and the starters took 45‘ to prepare. They also forgot some things, so we had to ask 2/3 times. But the food was exceptionally good.

Exceptional food - worthy of a London restaurant but not London prices or attitude. Staff was friendly if slightly less than efficient😉 Food was excellent! Shared the duck pancakes - best we have had. Asked the mature d for the recipe and he was eager to share. Pork belly and roast cod were equally as good. The cod had a red pepper coulis which I will def replicate.

A lovely atmosphere here. Definitely book ahead. Wide choice on the menu with generous portions. All tasted delicious. The staff are attentive and efficient. The decor mixes a bit of modern with the original features. Lots of parking outside so perfect venue

Beautiful food, friendly service and a clean and inviting restaurant. We opted for the early bird menu and had white bait and the soup of the day as our starters. The mushroom and tarragon soup was absolutely delicious.
I always appreciate the gesture of warm bread rolls and butter whilst waiting for your meal.
We both ordered Welsh lamb in a rich jus with dauphinoise potatoes and mixed veg. It was absolutely delicious and I feel like it is one of those meals we will refer back to again and again.
My only negative was that it would be nice to have a few more wines by the glass as I was driving and would have chosen a glass of New Zealand Marlborough but it was by the bottle. I opted for a pinot grigio instead which was okay.
Lovely dining experience, highly recommended.

Excellent food, ambience and service. portion sizes were quite generous and the staff were more than happy to accommodate some changes to the dish where one of us could not have anything with alcohol. Overall, a really nice experience that I'd highly recommend

Fantastic menu of the local fresh food with good variety for any dinner or diet. The drinks the wine and beer all good. The staff very friendly and friendly and pleasant and if you served by Alan Carr look a like he would add pleasure to your time while you eating. He looks like him sound like him and a very guy. All together you will have amazing time and meal there.

I have visited this restaurant a couple of times when in the area, the food is always excellent and the service is spot on.
The staff are professional and friendly.
I would highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area, though do phone up and check availability as it does book up pretty quickly.
We will definitely be visiting again.
