This is an absolutely delightful campsite.

On the edge of the village it is wonderfully quiet.

It is small and has clean and tidy basic facilities.

You can pitch tent down by the river and listen to the water and birdsong.

There are also pitches with electricity nearer the entrance.

The people are pleasant and helpful.

Absolutely charming.

Location perfect: 10 minutes walk from town centre. Facilities good though showing their 30+ age. £22 + £5 for electric on the dear side considering no private washbasins and no washing up facilities. Showers lovely and warm.

A lovely, welcoming site in Kington, on a beautifully maintained field and with good facilities. We stayed for 3 nights in our motorhome. Wardens, Paul and Sue, were very friendly and helpful. The site is situated just a short walk from the town and next to the Recreation Ground (good playground for children) and bus station (free for everyone on the weekends at the mo!). The River Arrow runs alongside the site and it's a perfect base for some excellent walks in the stunning countryside in that area, including the Offa's Dyke path. Kington has a good community feel to it and there are regular events held there throughout the year. We really enjoyed our short stay there and it's definitely a site we'd consider returning to sometime in the future.

Lovely large campsite for caravans and backpackers. Probably the best campsite I've been to in the UK.

The wardens welcomed us with a cuppa and a friendly smile, such a great gesture!

Extremely quiet, had a wonderful good night sleep after setting up the tent by the river.

Quick and easy access to the town centre and a good place to start hiking the Offa's Dyke path.

Such a welcoming place for hikers. It looks closed at the walking entrance, but just lift up the metal bar to get in. Sue showed me around and offered me a chair to rest my feet on. She was an absolute babe and a welcome friendly face after such a long day hiking. There's plugs in the wash room and even a spin dryer to give the damp clothes a dry. 10/10

Lovely campsite, nice and quiet. Plenty of walks near to the site. The town of Kington is very nice too, lots of eateries and pubs
