Liked: Had a lovely Easter Egg hunt for kids on Sunday morning. Tent was clean and neat. Linen and beds were lovely!

Disliked: Bathrooms were dirty most of the time, you had to pay for a shower and lights only went on when it was dark outside which was not sufficient as bathrooms where dark inside , only one washing up basin for the entire site. Pitches were small and right on-top of each other. You had no privacy or space from your neighbours. There were no BBQ utensils or serving dishes to put food onto. The lawn on the pitches was long. There were no activities for the children that did not cost a fortune. We have been to many campsites and where really disappointed. We actually checked out a day early and lost close on £80. Will not be going back.

Liked: Awesome activities, great bakery and the owners, Rach and Stu, are so helpful. The bell tent had everything we needed and were very comfortable. Will definitely stay again

Liked: On a quiet weekend break. Ran out of gas for cooking within about 10 minutes of arriving, but the site is really well equipped so this didn’t spoil our holiday!

First, the shop is unattended but super easy to use via QR codes and a web store, so I was able to buy hot drinks and didn’t need to miss my coffee for a few days.

Second, the shop has things like coal and BBQ hire so we were able to get what we needed to make tea. Managed to cook a madras and even make coffee; not ideal but rescued me from my poor planning.

Third, while we were one of only two visitors it was clearly a cared-for site and I’d have no worries about being there on a busier weekend.

Great place for visiting the local area.

Disliked: WiFi signal strength could be better at range, (something like a UWB-XG would be fantastic). Bit more signposting to local sights/walks would be nice, maybe I missed that somewhere tho.

Liked: Enjoyed being on a smaller sized site and some lovely places to drive out to close by.
Our hosts were very welcoming abs friendly.
We liked that the shower was enclosed with a toilet and sink for morning ablutions.
Saw an owl, dragonflies and lots of nesting pigeons.

Disliked: On a busy road which could be noisy and no where to walk to for a drink/food.

Liked: Setting is nice. Only one shower but site was quiet when we visited. Lots of space for tent.

Disliked: No hot water.

Liked: The owners and family were so accomodating and couldn't do enough, they really helped me out when i needed it. They were also kind enough to put us close to the bathroom facilities and next to my friend when we requested, The campsite is a lovely spot, not too big or crowded, and well maintained. It has washing up facilities and good shower and toilet facilites too that are also kept clean, one of the best i've stayed at to be honest, they supplied toilet rolls and soap and you just need 50p for the shower and it is on long enough, if you don't have change there's a pot on the window cill you can swop your coins for. It supplies burning bins, some pitches have built in fire pits and you can buy a bucket of logs with firelighters for £7.
It's half an hour drive from Shrewsbury where there's pleny of things to do, so close enough if you want to and far enough away if you dont, we also found plenty of local ruined castles to explore, and local villages. We stayed for a week and found plenty to do. The campsite also offer their own sporting activities like canoeing and paddle boarding for an extra cost if you like that sort of thing.

Disliked: There's a busy road behind where i was pitched and the lorries banging past at 6.30am was a bit annoying but there's nothing you can do to change that

Liked: Site is in the beautiful Shropshire hills where you get dark skies so we saw the most gorgeous starry skies with shooting stars and the milkyway visible with the naked eye. It’s clean and the pitch was a good size.

Disliked: There wasn’t enough toilets and the eco showers seemed to be locked so getting access to the one other shower was challenging. There was no way of seeing if anyone was in the shower either which meant If you were in there people constantly tried the door, which felt uncomfortable with the set up of the shower right near the door. Wi-Fi is rubbish but to be expected in the countryside. Teenagers were not best pleased.

Liked: Eco-showers, the fairy lights adorning the bell tent we stayed in, fire pit and bbq, friendliness and helpfulness of owner and owner’s parents! We felt very welcome and comfortable. We are seasoned campers but chose to try glamping - and it was a lovely experience here, right on the border of Wales/England. Lots of things to see/do nearby, and frequent sightings of wildlife. Would also highly recommend the nearby Stiperstones pub for food/drink. We would definitely return. WiFi non-existent on site, but a good opportunity to forgo modern living!
