Really lovely little quite campsite. The kids can ride around the campsite on bikes all day long as it's so quite. Who needs a pool when there's a lovely little stream the kids can paddle in! And lovely walks along the river to Paper Mill Lock. Highly recommend!

What an absolutely beautiful caravan site. Very well maintained and a great, relaxing atmosphere.
The countryside that surrounds the site is stunning with lovely walks up and down the river chelmer on your doorstep.

We would highly recommend this site to anyone. Thanks to the owner Tim for his friendly hospitality.
We will definitely be returning for more holidays.

Lovely caravan park surrounded by numerous beautiful walks based around the river chelmer. 15 min stroll to Paper Mill lock, 20 mins walk to Little Boreham for a pub lunch.

Quiet yet with easy access from the A12.

A number of seasonal caravans on site occupying hook ups but all well spaced and we had a choice of spots to choose from upon arrival.

Tim was welcoming and helpful. The site was lovely to use and we will be returning in the spring.

Just finishing staying here for two weeks and we have had a great time.
Site is well kept and in a lovely location right next to a canal where you can take your own kayaks / paddle board and leads to loads of lovely walks.
The pitches are nice size and there is a very handy security gate that keeps the site safe. Our two kids loved running round the campsite and using their bikes. It's also dog friendly.
Only downside was there is no shower/toilets but we managed fine. With the covid out break the owners have provided hand sanitizer at all the water and Elsan points. The owners are very friendly and keep the site in a great condition.
We will be back

Searching for this site with two of my young children on recommendation from a family member I unwittingly turned onto the site. Finding myself locked in I said to my children I would be extremely polite to request exit from the site. Whilst I understand the frustration of the owner his attitude to my polite charmed attempt to placate was disgusting and my children had to sit and listen to his tirade. Pleasant enough campsite but a stink of an attitude as far as I’m concerned.
