Birch Hill Farm Caravan And Motorhome Club CL

Birch Hill Farm is an excellent well run site in a stunning location. We are thoroughly enjoying our third stay, and will definitely be returning in the near future. We have visited many CLs over the years, and Birch Hill Farm is one of the best.

Good location near Ellesmere with great views over to Wales. Nice walks in the area with good pubs along the way. Freindly owners and a good site info app. A bit exposed in the wind and limited as to where you can pitch as the ground was very wet in March but they had vechicle mats and extensions for the power cables. It's a dog friendly site so be careful where you walk in the grass.

A very well kept dog friendly small cl on top of a hill one mile North of Ellesmere this relaxing site is a well thought out blend of "camping in a field" with essential facilities. Efficient waste ♻️ and site management is combined with the highest level of covid safety i have encountered, which is very welcome. Their site rules are few and clear, a dedicated personal hook up and water tap are assigned on arrival, and the grassed hardstandings are great. Helpful website too.

Just stayed at Birch Hill during the Bank Holiday and a few extra days.
Lovely site within close distance of Ellesmere which is so centrally located.
Already booked for a further stay with Janet and Ian Kelly, site owners, who we found so helpful and friendly - highly recommended.

This was our 2nd visit but this time joined with our friends who, like us, thoroughly enjoyed the 2 weeks we spent at Birch Hill CL. Ian and Janet made us feel most welcome and we all appreciated the Covid safety policy measures which are in place to keep their guests safe.

The site itself is very well signposted with good access. There is a choice of pitches each with 16 amp electric and free WiFi – we chose 2 with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Levelling blocks may be required as the site is on a slight slope – shouldn’t by a problem however. There was an abundance of wildlife whilst we were there and the site is in a quiet and peaceful location.

Ellesemere is 1 mile from the site and has several shops and restaurants – we can recommend Asian Spice – and there are pleasant walks along the Llangollen Canal. Further afield are several National Trust properties that are certainly worth visiting.

We have no hesitation in recommending Birch Hill CL and will certainly return when we’re next in the area.

This site is now on our top 10 list - a really good base for visiting many of the top sites in Shropshire. The owners are very professional but still warm and friendly and we look forward to our "annual fix" in 2023.

We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed a restful few days away.  The scenery is lovely, very rural with sheep in nearby fields.  There are 5 pitches and you can choose where you want to settle, there is plenty of space. There are drinking water taps and EHU.  Chemical waste uses green fluid.  The pitches are not fully serviced so there are no drains and taps may not be near any hardstanding pitches. The facilities are basic but that is reflected in the price.  The hosts are helpful. We received a pack with local information.  There are local walks from the site into Ellesmere.  We also visited Ellesmere, Oswestry and Llangollen, all within easy reach. If you want a quiet, restful site, this would be suitable for you.  They also have glamping pods.

Really good environment with the hosts and surroundings! Very nice place for staying a few days far from the city but also very close to many interesting places to visit!
