Stayed at Lyons Farm at short notice whilst our Daughter was ill in hospital. Chris & Jean were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. The site is close to shops, supermarket, take aways & the hospital.
It really did feel like home from home as we were made to feel very welcome. Lovely couple and a lovely site. Thank you Chris & Jean and we hope to see you soon under better circumstances! Best wishes Petra, Daz & our 4 legged friend Tilly x

Ideal base for Liverpool but for the price you would at least expect a toilet block, the owner was a nice bloke with local knowledge

We stayed on at this great CL site not far from Liverpool for 3 nights (Friday through to Monday). Chris, the owner was really friendly and helpful who sets the tone for a relaxed atmosphere and quiet site that was clean, tidy and secure. Each pitch had electricity and mains drinking water tap with lots of space between pitchs. Will definitely be coming back

Fantastic site just outside Liverpool. I don’t understand the previous review at all..they must have been staying somewhere else because Chris was a fantastic host who was very welcoming. We had everything we needed in a beautiful spot. Will definitely return for Liverpool’s next home game 😁…thanks Chris

Everything you need.
secured behind locked gates. Either hard standing or flat grassed area, which is nicely kept.
Good water and electricity supply.
Easy walk to the train station that goes to Liverpool and Ormskirk.
Chris the owner is a great guy and is very helpful.
Local shops nearby include a coop store, subway, good chip shop with Chinese food and an Indian takeaway. Got everything you need for a stay with your caravan or motorhome. Perfect location for visiting Liverpool and Southport. Easy access to motorways and local transport network which means that you can hear some traffic noise-but this site certainly does not deserve the previous poor review.

Excellent camp site. The owner accommodated our very short notice booking for a one night stay and couldn't have been nicer. Each pitch has electric and water and the whole site is very well maintained and secure. There's a Co-op and takeaway places a couple of minutes drive away.

Chris runs this site well and security is assured behind a locked entrance gate and field gate - pair of keys provided on arrival. A bit of road noise, but minimal from inside the campervan, thick tall hedge between road and little site field. Water and EHU on each pitch, some separated by little shrubs.
