Liked: Lovely location in a beautiful country setting. Pitches are a really good size allowing a decent space between tents and the local nature walks are worth the time. Staff are always on hand and really helpful.

Disliked: Showers on the tent pitches side could be better!

Liked: Polite staff (very nice staff at the park, polite and helpful).

Disliked: *These points are indicative of my stay at the park and may not be the same for other visitors.

- Large groups camping nearby on our second night (noise was very loud until early hours of the morning)
- Sloping pitch (not drastic but made cooking and sleeping difficult)
- Underwhelming facilities (showers were warm but showerheads need replacing)

Unfortunately this was not quite what we were expecting from the reviews and we were left a bit disappointed with our stay, largely due to the anti social behaviour of one large group. I feel this could have been avoided early on by being clearer with the expectations of the park and although it may be unfair to attribute blame to the park for the behaviour of other campers, some responsibility does need to be apportioned.

Liked: The staff were so friendly. The site had a real sense of community and all the campers were friendly and chatty . Fantastic walks nearby . The cuckoo trail was a nice flat trail heading through the villages with pubs and cafes on route which all seemed dog friendly. There is a nature trail on the site which was about a hours walk with activities on the trail for younger kids that you could pick up from reception. Fishing lakes on site as well. The showers and toilets were spotless and of a very high standard. Free freezer block exchange onsite and they also had gas bottles to be exchanged. All in all for the kids and dog first camping experience it was great . Did get a electrical hook up so they could charge there phones lol

Disliked: Only had 2 nights there and didn't want to leave

Liked: Well kept site, very friendly staff. Easy walk into the village and located close to the Cuckoo trail. Great recommendations for local pubs and takeaways.

Disliked: Nothing, although the older shower block needs upgrading.

Liked: Lovely site and very spacious. Nothing to dislike! close to the facilities which was a plus. We had the electrics and everything worked very well. We were helped set up (inflatable tent) by a very nice young man which helped to make us feel 'at home' as it was first time we camped there. The fact that there was a discount for September helped also to make us appreciate the setting.
We had a great few sunny days and although the nights were on the cold side never suffered from that as well equipped in our trailer tent.

The friendly staff was very nice and helpful. Couldn't fault anything. Very clean facilities and as our week was slightly off-season, we enjoyed a fair amount of peace and quiet.

We won't stay there again (regretfully) as we have probably finished with camping due to not getting any younger!

Liked: Location close to cuckoo trail cycle path. We'll marked nature trails on site. Helpful staff. Lakeside bar.

Disliked: Not really dislike but useful to note that bar was only open some days and shut at 5pm. Bar and local eateries within easy walking distance including fish and chip shop all shut Sundays and Mondays.

This place is amazing for so many reasons. Great value, lovely venue with great fishing lakes and walks etc. The pitches are perfect and very well maintained. The toilets and showers etc are always immaculate, but what makes my 6 y/o son and I keep coming back the most is the staff. Nothing is too much for them, always cheerful and friendly. You just couldn't ask for more from a campsite.

Liked: The pitch was very well spaced with lots of room. The facilities were fantastic. Very clean with lovely hot showers. Washing up area was great, indoors with book and dvd loans available on shelves. Friendly owners and staff. Was an amazing site all round.

Disliked: The shop closes 5pm. A bit early in case if dinner emergencies. Is a bit far away from some main attractions. But only 40 mins or so by car.
