Liked: Facilities generally very good. Showers are spacious and modern - although watch for the uncontrollable over-spray soaking your belongings in the changing section!

Plenty of hot water and the area was kept immaculately clean and functional by the hard working staff on site.

The electric hookup was close to the pitch and was reliable.

Fresh water, grey water and chemical disposal all on-site.

The grounds are really well maintained and there are some amazing statues scattered around the site.

The site had some great views and is near to the Devils Bridge Waterfalls, which is well worth a visit and the ice cream shop adjacent is fantastic especially after climbing up the many many slate steps.

If we visit again in the future we will try for a hard standing pitch (which look excellent) for the motorhome as the grass pitches sit in the middle of all the tents - it was hot during our visit and the campsite was fairly lively (people talking and walking around the site until gone 2AM).

Free WiFi onsite, but only at the access point (didn't need it).

Note - you need a flexible pipe (which we always carry) to drain the grey water as the drain is surrounded by a shallow row of bricks in is set close to a wall.

Disliked: Chemical disposal looked like a tragic accident had occurred. There is a mesh over the top of the drain which (if someone has tried to use the drain for absolutely anything other than water) gets caked in toilet roll etc. I've seen another reviewer mention this feature and so I understand why they've done this.

We moved on to our next site rather than trying to use it.

Woodlands Caravan Park offers breathtaking views, with plenty of walking trials to embark on (we recommend the walk up the hill just behind the camp!) The pitches are very spacious, and the site even has statues and sculptures dotted about, which we thought were lovely little touches. The toilet and shower facilities were immaculate, we really couldn’t fault them. The staff on reception were friendly and professional, and there were plenty of leaflets available advertising local attractions and restaurants etc. We didn’t try the cafe, but fellow campers were raving about the breakfasts. No phone signals, but this wasn’t a problem for us, and to be honest it made the experience even more enjoyable!
Overall an outstanding camp site, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Recently stayed in our tent for 7 nights,
What a nice well run clean site this is.

Good for the kids, excellent surroundings, the showers and toilets are very modern and extremely well kept. Cleaned very regularly and to a very high standard. Even the windows by the sinks had been cleaned so you can look over the site while washing up!

Would stay again without hesitation.

Liked: As soon as you enter the park you just know it’s going to be a great stay. The site is surrounded by trees, very peaceful and well laid out. Lots of impressive art dotted around…stags, horses, chickens, telephone boxes! All make it very quirky and welcoming. The office manager was very helpful even though we arrived just as she was due to close. The pitches are really large and well spaced out. And the toilet and shower block is fantastic. This is usually the worst part of a campsite, but the loos and showers were clean, modern and warm and the best I’ve ever used.
We had a great nights sleep in our camper van as even though the site looked pretty full there is an expectation that everyone will be quiet after 10pm and as there’s no traffic noise this was a very peaceful stay.

Disliked: Nothing to not like!

Liked: Fantastic friendly campsite, we will visit again. The pod had bed-frames and mattresses, it’s nice to be elevated off the ground and it was warm and clean on arrival. The toilet facilities are clean and warm, not at all drafty which can be an issue when camping. There is a cafe onsite which sells decent food and a pub within walking distance for evening meals. We only stayed one night as it was a last minute break, but we enjoyed spending time in the devils bridge and waterfalls, both walking distance from the campsite and was well worth it for a short break. We will be back next year.

Liked: Extremely beautiful location. Welcoming, helpful and friendly staff. Dog friendly site. Superb, hotel grade facilities. Plenty to do and some amazing places to explore nearby. We had a fantastic week and loved every minute. We highly recommend Woodlands and would love to come back again.

Disliked: We camped without EHU as we have solar power, however our 2 teens demand for device charging drained the limited power obtained on cloudy days..... the only thing that could possibly have improved their stay would have been a charging locker, but this is absolutely not a moan, just a suggestion 😉

Liked: A very scenic site location which is reasonably priced. The way the sun rose in the morning created a perfect start to the day. Ideal for travelling around Wales and enjoying both inland and the coastal vistas. The site was well mainted enhanced by lanscapes and sculptures with the cleanest facilities i have ever seen. The staff were welcoming, professional, approachable with nowledgeable about the area. I liked the fact that the site was small which encouraged people to greet and acknowledge one another. We truly enjoyed our stay and plan to go back next year.

Disliked: There was nothing not to like.

Liked: Excellent campsite - warm, clean, quality facilities. Friendly helpful staff. Short uphill walk from site gives great views. Good 7 mile walk from site - ask at reception. Biked into Aberystwyth- big hill so electric bikes are good! Hardstandings are more level than some grass camper van options. Loved it.
