Liked: The people who had annual pitches here were really helpful and friendly throughout and made us feel really welcome. Location good for snowdon (our reason for booking), around 40 min drive.

Disliked: I understand now that there was an issue with hosting at this site, we arrived to no one welcoming us, no one mentioning where anything was I.e. toilets, showers or washing facilities. We were left to our own devices and it was pretty basic. No bar as advertised and no indoor area to socialise, just the 1x shower and 2x toilets each for male and female. These weren’t regularly cleaned or replenished with toilet roll but with camping we are lucky you know what to expect so we managed. Overall, good for one night stay due to the locals who were friendly and helpful.

Liked: On arrival I was met by Pauline, the owner of the site who greeted me with a friendly hello by name. She shown me where the toilets, washing up and bins where and where shown where to park and where to set up our tent. Pauline advised if we had any problems not to hesitate in contacting her. Everyone was really friendly on site and the children loved taking my dog for a walk. There is a stream which runs past the bottom of the site which all the children loved, catching tadpoles and newts.
The park has a pub on site which shuts around 11pm and there is a shop not so far where you can buy breakfast essentials. Bala town centre is about a 20 minute drive away. Overall my stay at Glan Ceirw caravan park was brilliant and I would highly recommend a stay at this site. I will be definitely be returning.

Liked: Superb one night stay at Glan Ceirw - stunning scenery surrounding the relatively small and quiet site. Couldn't expect much better for the money paid (unsure what some other reviews could have a moan about..) above all, a great person running the place too who couldn't be more helpful.

Only slight downside was no nearby shops (but, what are you expecting in the middle of nowhere..) but found a great local pub (Crown Inn) which was a short drive which was perfect with a superb breakfast cafe (Country Cooks) within a few minutes drive or a walk.

Either way, if you're looking for a nights break with the kids - you'll enjoy this place!

Liked: Such a friendly atmosphere, with the owner and the regulars making us first timers feel very welcome, and the river next to the pitches was great for the kids. Nice to have a bar available at weekends and games room available too for the kids. It's a small, relatively informal, family-oriented campsite with only half a dozen tent pitches (all next to or close to the river), a similar number of caravans and some statics; and it's a delight as such.

I don't think the critical review on here about a visit when the owner was absent for her health is fair at all. It hasn't got an army of employees, it's a lovely little place and we definitely felt welcome and looked-after by the owner and the regulars.

Disliked: Nothing major at all - we had our own camping toilet with us which was useful as the loos (2 mins uphill) at the top of the site would have been a little far in the night for our 3yo. The facilities are basic but we factored that in and they were all that was required.

Liked: Lovely little site set beside a small stream
The owner met us upon arrival and gave us our choice of pitches. Small amount of touring pitches, small amount of camping pitches but set amongst trees and the lovely little River.

Disliked: Wish the toilets weren't uphill 😂

Liked: We enjoyed our break in Glan Ceire & would highly recommend it to others.
Pauline was there to welcome us as we arrived and we had the choice of three pitches.
It has many extras like a family room with pool table, dart board ect. Also a bar in the main house which had a lovely atmosphere and we chatted with other campers.
Pauline goes above and beyond to make her guests stay a very pleasant one.
We'll definitely be returning next year.

Liked: Having not been here for 4years we had forgotten what a warm welcome we had been given just to be repeated again. Pleasant, friendly people ,dogs too! A great evening was had in the small but snug bar, people interacting with each other and although Pauline was busy serving she took the time to make conversation with everyone and made sure we were having a good time. We will be back soon and hope Pauline will be there to greet us. Thanks Pauline

Liked: Site is only small, with clean facilities.

Disliked: Bar wasn't open whilst we stayed. Not anything on site for children, games room was very run down! Got kept awake most of the night by people in other tents, seems to be no time limit on noise at night.. which needs to be as its only a small site.
