I have been a member of the club for 3 years now. It’s a great club, everyone helps each other out, helping with fixes parts and spares. When I joined I was new to model flying, everyone was more than happy to give me tips on the right equipment to start our with and help me learn the skills required. It’s such a social club with everyone getting along and having fun.

After coming back to the hobby after a 20 year break first job was to find a club. Found a few in the Cardiff or surrounding area so joined them all. All too soon I was reminded of the old days where the clubs were more about who's boss than the fellowship of flying. Then out of the blue someone suggested that there was a new club up near the Meio. Finally hunted it down via Facebook and got in touch asking about joining etc. I had a quick reply from Andrew who had organised the club. He said come along andd have a few flies and if you like it then we talk about joining. So next Saturday went up and visited. had a really friendly welcome, a couple of flights and felt quite at home there. It's not the easiest field to fly from but is easily learnt. Needless to say I joined and have been there flying happliy for the last three years. We have grown slowly in members and have aquired our own mowing equipment a nd steel cabin. We always welcome new and old flyers. So come and see what it's like.

A very enjoyable club, plenty of friendly banter, can be a challenging flying area at times, but that’s part of the enjoyment. Also lovely views when you just want to sit and relax.
