Out on the water yesterday afternoon, crew were friendly and the views from beginning to end are serene and impressive. Learnt a few facts, brilliant if new to the nessie story but felt slightly overpriced for the experience. But a fun activity all the same.

Although it was raining, still, the lakeview was extraordinary! (Which is proven by the amazing photos below) The photos would look even better if it was sunny. Although we took some great photos, nothing can be better than seeing the lake in real life yourself. Very strongly recommended, cannot miss this when visiting Scotland

is a large freshwater loch in the Scottish Highlands extending for approximately 37 kilometres (23 miles) southwest of Inverness. It takes its name from the River Ness, which flows from the northern end. Loch Ness is best known for alleged sightings of the cryptozoological Loch Ness Monster, also known affectionately as "Nessie". Loch Ness is the second-largest Scottish loch by surface area after Loch Lomond at 56 km2 (22 sq mi), but due to its great depth it is the largest by volume in the British Isles. Its deepest point is 230 metres (755 feet), making it the second deepest loch in Scotland after Loch Morar. In July 1966, Brenda Sherratt became the first person to swim the length of the loch. It took her 31 hours and 27 minutes to accomplish this feat.

Beautiful view of Loch Ness!! Easy walk, maybe 3 minutes from the main road. Bring duck/waterfowl food because there are some very friendly, and non human fearing, mallard ducks. Also the ducks are pretty much to only wildlife, I think I saw 1 seagull. Come here with children to relax. You can even take a swim if you want. For sure come down and touch the legendary water that is home to Nessie!

A tick off the bucket list. An amazing, beautiful, unique place which sends tingles down the spine not so much for a monster but the sheer grandeur and magnitude of the Loch!! Stunning!!

This is a tourist trap and why not! You could spend hours here just watching the boats and craft go through the locks. Or walk round the roads and paths by the Loch. Plenty to see and plenty of eating/drinking options.
