Ingram SEAT Ayr

Took motability car to Ayr from Stranraer for MOT, sat for 2 hrs 15 mins in seating area in showroom, it was freezing , coffee machine out of use due to Covid so no way of getting a hot drink, couldnt walk anywhere to get lunch or a drink due to mobility issues, no courtesy car offered, and in the time we were sat there nobody came and asked if we were ok or needed anything. It felt like because we were not actual paying customers that we were insignificant

Disappointing. Went for the VIP event at the Skoda garage looking to buy a Skoda & they tried selling me a SEAT! Despite telling the event team on the phone the cars I was interested in looking at (Both Skoda's). Did point out to the sales rep that I wouldn't have wasted my time coming if I knew they would have nothing to show me & he apologised. Sales rep did his best & followed through with a video of a car that was being exchanged that afternoon. However, to be fair maybe this disappointment is due to the current pressure on the car industry & the shortage of chips! Or maybe the dog ate their homework as a VIP event a bit of a damp squid! Perhaps I'll hold on to the cars we have until things get a bit more stable!

Amazingly helpful and lovely to deal with despite my lease company's incompetence. Service done as promised and faster than expected.

It's a bit of a long review.
I bought my Seat Arona from Jordan Long in July. Jordan was brilliant. Anything that he had to do, was done as he said it would be. Having dealt with the big dealerships, this buying experience was totally different. A refreshing change. Top marks to Jordan.
The car was serviced and Mot'd prior to uplift.
However, I had to book the car in for repair shortly afterwards. Teething problems I told myself, however 2 of the issues were Mot failures which surprised me as it had just passed an Mot, and the car also had the front discs and pads replaced while in for the repairs, which again surprised me as they hadn't been seen as an issue before then?
I dealt with Jason in service, who again was brilliant and kept me in the loop with everything that was happening.
As much as the buying experience with Jordan was totally different to the other big names in the game, it would seem the pre sales checks and repairs appear to be much the same as anywhere else, which is disappointing.
I would still recommend Ingram, but as with any dealer I would say be careful.

Jordan at Seat Ingram Ayr was incredibly easy to deal with throughout the process of buying my new car, always answering questions and getting back to me with any queries. I contacted a number of dealerships while looking into my new car purchase and where some have been uninterested or patronising, Jordan and Ingram have been exemplary. I am very happy with the whole process and my shinny new car, and will definitely go back when I’m ready to change in a few years time.
