Went for a stag do here. Very remote setting, surrounded by farms and lots of sheep with no living soul around but has all the facilities and luxuries you expect from a modern house. Nice chill atmosphere of you and a group of around 10/15 want to go have an adventure!

This is a cost-effective and cheerful National Trust owned base for groups! It sleeps 20 and has the essentials - a few showers, a few loos, beds (some bunk), a kitchen (with a fridge/freezer), a boot room, a games cupboard... NO TV, NO Internet, NO Phone Signal... (LOL about 400m away on a hillside a signal is possible). It's a great base for a group who want to chill and enjoy the Peak District and each other's company. It's just off the beaten track (cars can reach it, but they need to drive carefully along the bumpy trail), and it is on a standard route for walkers. If you know what you are after - a base for a fun time, and for a range of walks, this is hard to beat! (2km walk to the local pub in Edale - which does have a TV)!!!

Fantastic place. Ideal for families or large groups. Very well equipped and comfortable can highly recommend as a brilliant place in the beautiful Peak District
