Downlands Farm Holidays

A large group of us rented out Stables, Edwards and Louisa for a weekend, What a stunning place, the cottages are immaculate, well stocked, tidy and homely. The hosts were absolutely amazing and accommodating to our groups situation and kept in great contact the entire time!
The utilities are perfect, beds comfortable and HUGE and the surrounding landscape is stunning. Our group thoroughly loved it and all commented how relaxing the vibe was, Cant wait to return!

Staying here was an absolute pleasure. The cottages were pristine, a cool little hidey hole in the attic rooms and just general relaxing good vibe, oh and an INCREDIBLE view of the sunrise and sunset. Clean, kind and welcoming. Also friendly resident dog that wanders round is cute!

Absolutely stunning place to stay. It's very quiet, the scenary is beautiful, the owners are lovely and the cottages are something else! I rented out 3 of the cottages with a group of friends, it was the best weekend away I've had. I would definitely stay here again and plan to do so! The cottages are well fitted and large. Couldn't recommend it more.

We were attending a wedding locally and stayed in Rose, Stable and Edwards Cottages. All three cottages were immaculately kept. The kitchen facilities in particular were fantastic. They cottages were all very clean and well maintained. The rooms are light and bright, and beautifully furnished. The hosts Venetia and David were very welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately due to covid lockdowns we were unable to stay on the dates originally planned, and the hosts were very sympathetic to our having to reschedule our stay. We have no hesitation in revisting Downlands Farm, and hope to book another stay so that we can explore the area more.

Recently spent a week here with my extended family, following my son’s wedding. Perfect set up for us, we had 2 adjoining cottages, both exceptionally well equipped & comfortable, loads of outside space for kids (& adults!), couldn’t have been better.
Venetia is an excellent host with a great team of cleaners who keep the cottages spotless.

I honestly can't fault this wonderful farm at all!

I went to Downlands Farm with a large group for friends to celebrate my long resisted 30th birthday.

Venetia the host is so accommodating, down to earth and friendly, she really made our stays that much more special.

Each cottage is beautiful and so homely and entering the warmth on arrival made us feel cosy and relaxed straight away 😊

I have no doubts that I will return here at some point.

We stayed at Edwards Cottage for a few nights in July 2021, 2 adults and 2 dogs. The cottage was very clean, spacious and well equipped - everything we needed. Perfect for the dogs with a secure garden area. The washing machine & tumble drier (big utility room) made life easier when returning wet and muddy one day! We had a great time walking in the local area and stopping off for lunches at the pubs. The host was welcoming and the maps/info she provided were very helpful. A delicious chocolate cake & farm eggs were a lovely touch on arrival. We had a lovely, relaxing break and will book again.
