Had a fabulous weekend here, where we stayed in Curlew Cottage.
Everything for one's needs have been thought of. Very cozy and comfortable.Just a short walk to the lakes with so much wildlife to see.
I would recommend Lackford Lakes Barns to anyone. So peaceful there.

Very very quiet with local fresh eggs and honey.
If you like walking and natural nature then this is the place for you,
With lakes and wildlife in abundance.
On the other hand if you like peace and quiet on a cold day just light the log fire, sit back and relax.

Nice accommodation with lots of activities nearby. The amount of flies was a bit of a nuisance and the second bedroom door was frustratingly stiff but apart from that, it was a nice place to stay for a few days.

We stayed in Lark Lodge and had a lovely stay even with the wind and rain.
Great having the Nature Reserve so close, we walked every morning.
Perfect location for exploring Suffolk and Norfolk.
Accommodation had all we needed.
Very comfortable and warm.
We had to get help from the owner and they responded quickly.

Stayed here twice and is just wonderful. Nature and wildlife are abundant, spacious, well-appointed cottages with large rooms. Will definitely be returning.

Lackford Lakes Barns Review

I had business in Suffolk requiring me to be onsite at RAF Lakenheath for 5 days. I drove from Germany to the UK and wanted a place to relax and recharge at the end of each day, and proximity to the air base was also a big factor. I am also a bon vivant who loves cooking more than dining out, so the idea of having a complete kitchen with which to work on dinner each afternoon was a major plus, not to mention an entire house to myself in the bucolic and peaceful countryside of East Anglia. The photographs speak for themselves, but below are a few of the characteristics that really stood out to me.

Cottage: Barn Owl Barn

* My daily drive to RAF Lakenheath was 12 - 15 minutes each way. Perfect.

* The Lackford Lakes Barns was the perfect choice for a daily getaway; so beautiful, calming, and quiet.

* The cottage was large, well-appointed, clean, and comfortable. Cozy. If I had to assign a metaphor, I would say it was like spending a week in the home of a favorite uncle. That is, it was familiar in nature, which is, by extension, stress-abating and a source of solace.

* The management even left a server of fresh milk in the refrigerator. A real delight in my breakfast tea.

* Heated floors, towel rads, dishwasher, freezer, refrigerator, and soft lighting.

* Comfortable beds, bedding, and pillows.

* Recycling and a commitment to eco-friendly measures.

5 Stars a kudos all around. I will be back. Bravo!

We stayed here for 4 nights while visiting our son stationed at Lakenheath! You will need a rental car to stay here if you fly in! We felt very welcomed and enjoyed the cottage and the surroundings. Very tranquil! The preserve next door is lovely! Highly recommend!
