Higher Wiscombe Holiday Cottages

We had the pleasure of the Thatched Barn for a week. 3 generations and every one of us loved it. The cottage is so clean, well decorated, warm and comfortable and spacious. We really couldn't have asked for any more. It's well laid out with great equipment.Lorna and Alastair were brilliant hosts with bags of information. The view is utterly breathtaking and it's such a hidden gem. Lots of lovely places to visit locally and wonderful places to eat too. So safe for kids and we didn't have a dog but if we did it would be ideal. If you're dithering about booking. Don't. It's a gem.

A fantastic place to stay at the Old Winery for our 60th birthday celebration. Well equipped and comfy good quality furnishings. Owners very helpful and great area to visit. Everyone commented how lovely it was. Slight disappointment was the pool wasn't available as the weather was perfect. Dog friendly too which was a bonus and great idea with the dog hamper!! Would highly recommend 😀

We have just returned from a lovely break at the Thatched Barn. Beautiful surroundings, lovely accommodation, very relaxing and just so nice to be somewhere with such a commitment to the environment. The recycling centre was a dream!
Alistair and Lorna are the best hosts ever and we had a fantastic stay.

Magical place to stay and super dog friendly! We have just returned from a midweek stay in the Flint Barn and had a fantastic time. We are missing our morning dog walks in the gorgeous countryside already. Highly recommend and would definitely return.

Well presented self catering accommodation, great group facility with a large lounge area and dining area supported by a good kitchen. Everything has been done well and the owners are quick to help if needed and are on site

Stunning setting and beautiful buildings. Overall positve experience, but feel a few things could be better such as hot water supply, very hit and miss as to whether showers etc were hot no matter what time of day, cleaning could be better, a lot of cobwebs in bedroom which is fair enough in countryside but there was also dust on them so been there a long time, also dust along edges of splashbacks in kitchen and on window ledges, may sound picky but given the prices charged and it being rated 5 star accomodation it should be 100% right.
Is quite an isolated place so great to chill out but do have to travel quite a way for things to do, would say more suited to older people as not a lot around for kids to do.

Just spent the weekend at this fabulous place, in Hank's Annexe, which is airy, elegant and generous. It's clear how much care and attention has gone into fitting the accommodation out. It really is exquisite in its detailing and styling and all the fixtures and fittings are high quality which makes everything feel comfortable and luxurious. Wonderful welcome from friendly hosts who then left us alone to enjoy our time. Will definitely be back.

Just spent the past Christmas in the Winery. Amazing house and location. Hosts are very welcoming. Everything is set up so well for you. Dog-friendly. House is really well-equipped, and modern. Games room as well which is a nice touch.

Only negative is the wi-fi was so slow as to be unusable so would want that to be better if we were going to return - had to tether off mobile devices the whole time, which is a bit painful if you need to do a bit of work or want to stream on the TV. Appreciate the location is off the beaten track though.
