Spent a week here while partner was working .No complaints great little cottage with everything you need .Great Views loads of walks close by .Plus it's a good base if you want to explore the peak district loved the log burner for when the nights were a bit cooler we just turned the heating off for our stay and used the fire at night .Only downside was telly bit small and could have done with extra pillow but that's just my preference wouldn't put me off going back Owners were nice and welcoming also

Lovely cottage in a quiet area. The cottage is well located to travel out to all the sights we wanted to visit. In our opinion you would need a car though. Two pubs close by serving food - one caters mainly for the locals but was delicious home made food. We were lucky they managed to squeeze us in but we would advise booking in advance to avoid disappointment. If it's a pub you want to just drink in, this isnt for you as its focus is on food. Further along the road was a larger busier pub which is uphill and quite a walk if you don't want to take the car. It served a wider selection of food or you can just have drinks if that's what you prefer. Food was very good. So much so we went back a few times.
The cottage itself has everything you could possibly need. The owners really have thought about absolutely everything!!!
Everything is of high quality including lovely bedsheets and fluffy towels. The only thing I would consider might need changing is the armchairs which aren't very comfy after a while.
The owners were friendly and receptive to any queries. Homemade flapjack and plums when we arrived was a lovely touch and tasted absolutely yummy.
Would definitely recommend this cottage

It looks very nice and is kept in good condition. It also has great views of the Derbyshire countryside.
