River Cottage, Melverley

I recently stayed at River Cottage and I have to say what a great place to stay. I spent most of my time hiking and exploring the area, I completed a hike up Admiral Rodneys pillar which can be see from the cottage window. Also Not to mention calling in the local pubs 😉. All tho the cottage is only 40 minutes from home it felt like I was hours away. I recommend a stay here for any one and any occasion.

Just spent a fantastic weekend at River cottage, what a great place to stay, the cottage wants for nothing, fully equipped kitchen even down to fresh milk in the fridge, even chocolates on our pillows made us feel like we where in a posh hotel!
Can't wait to go again, highly recommended.

Just returned from River cottage after a short break there, very tasteful & recently renovated cottage next to the river, secluded & peaceful, but within reach of local amenities, Susie was very helpful and the local residents of Melverley are very amicable
Had a great 3 nights stay and enjoyed everything the cottage as to offer, loved it and already looking at returning

The" River Cottage" far exceeded our expectations, so therefore we give it 12 out of 10!! The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed, and the outdoor area was wonderful, particularly with the lovely weather we had whilst there. The location by the river, complete with swans and kingfisher, was so private, quiet and peaceful. We loved it!

A perfect little cottage for a country retreat. It's traditional but contemporary with everything you could need for your stay. I like cooking and nothing was missing from the kitchen :). I enjoyed sitting in the garden watching the river (saw 5 kingfishers!) and walking along the river bank. The cottage is right next to the church, which provides a lovely quiet space for reflection. The community in Melverley were very welcoming too!

Absolutely beautiful cottage in an idyllic location. It is right next to the river and has a lovely garden and plenty of parking. Perfectly located for walking in the area or as a base for exploring all the the lovely towns and villages. The interior is top spec with all the mod cons you need for a relaxing stay. We had 3 very restful, quiet nights at the cottage and will be returning next year. Highly recommended.
