What a lovely place, a truly fantastic place to spend my birthday. The barn itself is finished to a good spec and the hot tub is absolutely brilliant, especially when you’ve been for a long walk in the beautiful surroundings. The dog meadow just over the road is brilliant and we really appreciated the fenced off area for nervous or timid dogs. There are lots of special touches in the barn that I’ve just not seen in other places, all of which serve to make the break really special. Highly recommended and we look forward to returning.

We booked the Stour Barn for 3 nights, and it was just perfect! I was a bit concerned when I saw there was an industrial estate right next to barns, but you can literally only hear birds chirping away and the artificial river! It was so quiet at night we could hear a mosquito in another room! Lots of exclamations marks here, apologies, but my husband and I were so impressed with the the barn, the hot tub and even with how much care the breakfast basket was put together! Will definitely be back again, the views around the barn were fab and so close to many things to do! Thank you Carl and the team for such a little hidden heaven, it was much needed and we felt so at peace there!

I needed to find somewhere to stay overnight at short notice, and the management were very accommodating in this, and very quick to respond. The place was very well maintained, quaint, cosy and a lot of effort put in to making the stay effortless. After a long day out, coming back to this put big smiles on our faces. The hot tub area was very tastefully arranged, and was a super indulgent treat. Finding a bucketful of breakfast goodies for the first morning of our stay was fantastic. Although there is a comprehensive guest "manual" in the living room, there are many cute little cards to explain the guidance points, in all the right places, so you are never left wondering what the intent of the owners are.....making it very easy to stay here. The focus on being dog friendly is better than anywhere else we have stayed, including the enclosed large field opposite the site.

Absolutely loved it, and will be back again !

Loved it at Woodfarm barns, if you want peace quiet and privacy a hot tub and olde worlde then this is the place for you. The extras left by the owner Carl were amazing. We stayed in meadow view, our dog loved the garden and the dog safe field opposite. If you love to cycle there are lots to borrow. Definitely going back .

Where do I start? Carl and the team went above and beyond right from the beginning. The cottage was as beautiful as described, clean, easy to find (in the dark) and easy to settle in. We stayed in early Jan and didn't need to use the log burner as the cottage was always at a good temperature. Lots of places claim to be dog friendly when they are really only dog tolerant. The Gipping Barn (and I'm sure the other barns are the same) were ideal for Paco and he loved the little personal touches like the dog treats, doggy passport and extra poo bags! And he could keep warm in the kitchen doorway whilst we were in the hot tub. The cottages are in an ideal location for exploring Suffolk with a car or on foot as there are walks nearby. Tonnes of great recommendations on their website and in the booklet including lots of dog friendly places. Loved there was a bluetooth speaker although it could be a little temperamental. I wanted to make the stay extra special which was easy to do through Carl and team. We will never forget our stay! The level of detail on their website is just a taster of what to expect. I will be sending my parents here too. I very nearly booked an AirBnB but I'm so glad I found Woodfarm Barns at the 11th hour and very pleased to be supporting such a fantastic local business. It was so much more personal and authentic. Why did it take me so long to find you?!

Fantastic birthday weekend away at the beautiful Stour Barn.
everything is just perfect about Woodfarm Barns and the location is fantastic to take days out or long walks or bike rides. what is ideal for us also is to enjoy time away and take the dog as it makes it even more memorable.

Loved the breakfast hamper, loved the hot-tub and we will be back in 2022.

We had a lovely time staying at Stour Barn. The barn was comfortable and cosy. The hot tub was the main reason we picked Woodfarm barns and it was the perfect end to a day after a long days walk in the countryside! The breakfast hamper was a nice extra touch - very thoughtful and well done, especially with a GF option (As this is normally not catered for at most places so I appreciated the extra effort and how well it was done!) Would definitely recommend as a great spot for a weekend break from the city and if we are ever back in Suffolk we would love to stay again.
