The Suffolk Escape

Just incredible. We stayed in the log cabins for 4 days and the lodge was just stunning, as was the view. Good space between the other lodges and plenty of privacy for the outdoor hot tub. Only downside would be amount of flies that seemed to make their way in, but its the great outdoors so its expected. 5/5 highly recommend!

Ultra relaxing, great cabins and super friendly staff. I have done a lot of log cabins with hot tubs but the little touches theses guys make are just that bit special, like Chris's wife who produced a home made cake left in your cabin, along with coffee, jam, milk, bread, tea bags, sugar and croissants for you to bake at your leisure. Loads of great pubs and restaurants within a short drive, will go again soon.Thanks to Andy, Jess and Chris who is a skilled hand at painting and keeping the maintenance up and standard high.

This place really lives up to its name - a genuine escape from the world in a beautiful part of the country. I was made up to win a weekend break here but over the moon when we arrived and saw the quality of the lodge. Beautifully designed and well appointed with everything one needs for a relaxing stay. The wood burner, underfloor heating and double walk-in shower add that little bit of luxury while a soak in the hot tub under a clear, starry sky is the epitome of relaxation. This ain't necessarily one for the kids (unless they're satisfied with cosying up with a book or cloud-spotting under those massive Suffolk skies) but for any adults needing some quiet time - out, The Suffolk Escape is a must. We're already planning our return....

Amazing little getaway... truly a unique and calming experience. If you wish you can be totally alone with(out) interacting with anyone! Take this time to unwind and enjoy your break, you deserve it! They also recommend the private chef who will visit you and cook a 3 course meal catering to your preferences. See pictures for reference. 😄

Enjoyed a long-weekend stay. The property is superb - clean, tidy and with excellent facilities. Lovely large bedrooms with fantastic en-suites (large bath, walk-in shower and double sinks). Kitchen equipped with everything you'd need.
Great location, and quiet in the evenings, but close enough to Ipswich.
Highly recommended.

My family and I had a wonderful long weekend stay in the Lavenham lodge this past weekend, for my sisters birthday. The setting is so beautiful and relaxing; surrounded by fields, watching the swallows come in to drink on the lake in the evening, the peace and quiet. The lodge itself was well equipped (we love to cook), clean and had everything we could possibly need. The bed was large and comfy and being able to open the doors and look out onto the lake was lovely! The hot tub was a nice addition to the weekend. Having a separate lounge area and dining area out on the terrace was also great. The owners were very friendly and accommodating when we had requests relating to my sisters birthday celebrations. We also had the most wonderful massages in our room by Renee, this was such a special touch and SO good.
We would highly recommend! There is so much to do in Suffolk, it would make a perfect base for a week! Thank you for a lovely stay all!

I'm writing a review on behalf of my two mothers who just returned from their weekend here. They have told us all how wonderful everything was, about how welcoming and kind the owners/workers are, how clean and beautiful everything looked and more. They we're left a card wishing them a happy 10th anniversary as well as fresh croissants to bake in the morning which made them feel so welcome. The cabins were stunning, spacious and very homely - so much so, they didn't actually want to come home.
This is the absolute prefect romantic get away and you truly to get every pennies worth.
They enjoyed it so much, they are already planning on returning next year and have highly recommended it to multiple relatives, of which also plan to come in the upcoming years.
