Cottages are absolutely delightful in a beautiful setting. Never stayed in such a well equipped cottage there is nothing they haven't got and cleanliness is five star. Thank you Harriett for the personal welcome and tour round and not forgetting the amazing welcome pack would encourage anyone looking to visit Northamptonshire and the surrounding area to look into renting one of these amazing cottages will definitely be booking again.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Whilst this might be a picturesque setting, the management leaves a lot to be desired. The 'manager' and cleaner, Harriet, took my 3yr old son out of the cottage without asking or telling me, causing me to panic when I could not find him. Understandably I did not want to hear her apology as I was very upset, what I did not bargain on however was being told "There's something wrong with you", having untruthful allegations made about me and subsequently being kicked out of the property before the end of our stay. We had paid in advance for an 8 week stay while we were having building work done - not only was this experience particularly harrowing but also greatly inconveniencing.

I am Canadian, my husband is British, we have travelled through America, Europe & Japan, and we sure know how to recognize a gem when we see one. We have been coming to Nene Valley Cottages for 7 years now and this is exactly what they are, a little gem in a beautiful countryside. The recurrence of our stays at Nene Valley Cottages speaks for itself as to the service and comfort we enjoyed over the years. Harriett has been nothing short of wonderful to welcome us and accommodate our needs. The Cottages are located a few miles from Oundle and at easy travelling distances from Peterborough, Cambridge, and Huntington. The area benefits from several excellent pubs and restaurants, great bird watching areas, public walks, and lots more. Highly recommended.

Nene Valley Cottage is our favorite holiday cottage in UK. It is lovely to come 'home' to the cottage after a day of walking or sightseeing. The Cottages are beautifully maintained, roomy, comfortable with a fabulous kitchen which makes it easy to prepare meals. Harriet is a delight and responds quickly to help, if needed. I recommend Nene Valley Cottages highly...I cannot think of a better place to stay during a holiday in the Midlands.

Another lovely stay at Nene Valley Cottages this August (third in a row). Always surprised by how much there is to do in the area - villages and towns to explore, and beautiful walks. Great local pubs for meals out too. The cottages are comfortable and stylish, with lovely extra touches (we enjoyed the sausages and bacon especially this year.) Booked again for next year already!

Just returned from 3 day break in Graham. Impressively clean and tidy but some disappointments in view of claimed 5 star rating. Settees in lounge low and uncomfortable. No mirrored dressing table so nowhere suitable for using hairdryer. Many of sockets will only take round pin plugs. Wood missing in hall floor, fridge door scratched, one of kitchen cupboard doors damaged by water, mould round bottom of en-suite shower. Radiator and towel rail in bedroom with en-suite not working. No sign of promised bottle of wine or of promised sausages and bacon in the freezer. WiFi unpredictable. Have since been advised that freezer food and wine will no longer be provided, and that arrangements were made last month for maintenance work to 2 of the cottages during a week at the end of November.
