This self catering accommodation is absolutely perfect. The owners Mark and Libby could not be better hosts. The standard of finishes and furnishing are exceptional set in beautiful gardens and in a stunning area close to Newborough

Our second stay at Owl Barn as a family, and it was just as perfect as the first time! Mark & Libby gave us a very warm welcome, and were always on-hand when we needed more logs or to discuss our plans for the week. Owl Barn is the perfect retreat for us; great for staying-in on the wet days and great as a base when visiting all the beautiful beaches on Angelsey. We can't wait for our next stay!

Lovely cottage with private walled garden Easy to find and only a short drive to Newborough Forest and the stunning beach with mountain views. Stayed here for 3 nights with my daughter and we loved getting back at the end of the day to get cosy. Woodpecker Cottage is one room but it feels very spacious and light and has everything you need. The garden is lovely and the whole place feels very peaceful. Delyth kindly suggested we take home some fruit from the many trees - we made a pear and apple crumble with it when we got home! We would definitely visit again.

I stayed in this house with my family (wife and 2 kids) in April. In short, it was one of the best holiday rentals I have stayed in. The house was larger than expected but still really cozy and was very nicely decorated and furnished. Both bedrooms were large and very comfortable. The kitchen was as well stocked in terms of appliances etc than I have seen in a holiday rental. Also, the garden (and broader grounds) were really nicely kept and large.
The surrounding area was also great with loads to do for the whole family and some stunning scenery than even the kids appreciated.
All in all, a great house in a lovely area and we'd definitely stay again.

My partner and I stayed at Owl Barn for a long weekend away from the kids. The house was beautifully presented with great attention to detail and everything you could possibly need.
The cottages are in a lovely, peaceful setting with loads to do nearby. We visited Newborough Beach, Menai Bridge and had a lovely boat trip from Beaumaris to see Puffin Island.
It was a lovely relaxing holiday and we can’t wait to come back.

We couldn't recommend the House in the Yard enough. It's really is the perfect place to stay when exploring Angelsey. The Granary with it's beautiful interiors and cosy spaces was just what our family of 4 needed after a day on the beach. We had sunshine too and wonderful times out in the garden. There is a little woodland for the dogs to charge about. We look forward to returning very soon.

We stayed in The Farmhouse cottage at House in the Yard from Sunday 17th October to Friday 22nd October and my brother-in-law and his family stayed in The Granary cottage during the same week.
The high specification of the accommodation is obvious as soon as you arrive (well-equipped kitchen, log-burning fire, spacious bedrooms) and the setting of the entire property is excellent, located in a quiet road just outside the small village of Llangaffo with three acres of surrounding meadows and woodland. There is ample off-road car-parking and the whole property is dog-friendly with nearby beaches just a few minutes’ drive away.
We climbed the Dinorwig Slate Quarry next to the National Slate Museum (30-minute drive) where you can take a gentle descent back down into Llanberis. Other highlights included a trip to the Menai suspension bridge (20-minute drive), a visit to Caernarfon (30-minute drive) to wander around the town and view the impressive castle there and on our final day we took the opportunity to climb Mount Snowdon, taking the Llanberis Path, which was a little challenging for us novice climbers, but exhilarating!
Friendly owners Noel and Delyth could not do enough for us and were always on hand to help if needed, giving us helpful suggestions for local excursions and places to eat.

We stayed here Sun 17 Oct to Thurs 21 Oct and we can really recommend it to you.
The accommodation is high quality, and spacious but also cosy due to the log fires
The setting is lovely, peaceful and with lots to do and the owners Noel & Delyth were very welcoming and helpful
We enjoyed walking our dog on the beach with the lighthouse at the end, along with climbing Dionrwig Slate Quarry, visiting Caernarfon, and generally getting away from work and spending nice family time together
We'd never been to Anglesey before and this was a welcome introduction.
