Lovely place to stay. Ionwen and Paul are so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We have stayed numerous times over the years, hiring the large barn to sleep 7 adults and 6 children! It is massive and has plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms to suit everyone. The large kitchen is brilliantly equipped and the lounge area very comfortable.
There is a log burner for chilly evenings although the heating was more than adequate to keep us warm.
The children just loved exploring round all the fields and jumping across the stream. We were so lucky to enjoy beautiful weather. The scenery is just stunning.
Can't wait to visit again.

Great holiday cottage. We stayed in the Barn which is huge, lots of rooms, big kitchen and dining room and lounge. All amenities were up to scratch, including newly refurbished kitchen, and most of the bedrooms had ensuite, modern bathrooms. Made our stay in Llandovery very comfortable and easy. The cottages themselves are on a secluded farm, surrounded by sheep. A lovely escape from the city.

Very cosy and modern cottage which i stayed in with my family for about a week. The price was more than reasonable. Just some of the features that made my stay great 👍 was the small TV 📺, PlayStation 4, and DVD 📀 library 📚. However the WIFI was poor and it is kinda in the middle of nowhere however I still recommend it especially if your planning a family retreat.

Spacious barn set in a courtyard of three other properties.

Pros:
✅spacious, big kitchen, living room and dining room.
✅Lovely views, additional utility to do laundry.
✅Angela the host was a darling and did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable. A very lovely Victoria sponge cake and bread was left for us for our arrival which we really appreciated.
✅Angela allowed us to plug in our EV car for free which was an added bonus considering the nearest working EV charger was 35 minutes away.

Cons:
❌the garden is most definitely not dog-friendly or contained in any capacity with one side of the barn not fenced (6 foot gap). We were constantly on edge having to supervise the dogs at all times or tether them with a long line. We had to barricade the gap to the courtyard with our outdoor dining furniture instead of actually using it.
❌The floor in the disabled bathroom is a death-trap and we had to purchase a sticky floor mat just to make it safe for my elderly father in law.
❌ no informal outdoor furniture bar the dining set and wooden bench. I realise this is Wales though and it was rare to be blessed with hot weather where we enjoyed so much outdoor time.
❌ Our first time ever having to clean the property when leaving? I can understand basic cleanliness but not vacuum and sweep the whole house, take out rubbish and clean all bathrooms.
❌ Being stingy with stuff like dishwasher tabs (we were left 2 for a 5 night stay), washing up liquid (ran out on day 3, bog roll (ran out day 3), and cleaning cloths (had to use same one for cleaning kitchen and bathrooms.

Other points:
👎The road leading to the property is NARROW! Wouldn’t recommend in a van. We encountered a timed rally race using the access road, so had to negotiate pull-ins to get around angry rally drivers.
👎More serving spoons and a water jug for the table please!
👍Great walks available within an hour’s drive. The four waterfalls hike in Brecon Beacons was amazing, as was the Vampire plane crash hike.
👍 Lots of great NT places including the gold mine (book in advance!!) and Dinefwr.

Lovely tranquil location. Great service and good communication with the owner. Only negative is the downstairs disabled bathroom floor was very slippy when wet.

We spent a week in the smaller cottages and loved every minute. Stunning location.the cottages are immaculate and very well equipped. Hosts are truly lovely and made us feel so welcome. Welcome sponge cake was the best we have ever tasted. No wonder Angela wins awards for her cakes!!!! Cannot wait to return.

Fantastic part of the world to stay in, very cosey adjoining cottages for the 4 of us and the 4 dogs, a cake and bread was waiting for us on arrival. Very dark at night and lovely views of the stars when its clear. The only downside would be the access track is a little bit rough but still navigable in a normal car but be very slow!

Superb for our 13 people family.
Very warm and cosy - so well insulated that the heating never needed to come on in the evening.
Everything you need in the kitchen.
Dishwasher packed up on the Sunday - all fixed when we returned in the evening. That's customer service!
Don't wish to complain about anything, but the tiles in the disabled set up downstairs bathroom are lethally slippery! Cave!
