This is a cosy, comfortable cottage, in an excellent position in Solva. It is just five minutes from the beach and two minutes from the fabulous 'Cambrian' pub.
However, inside it is a little old fashioned and it is a lot smaller than it appeared. It is not spacious. Downstairs, there is a good kitchen with everything you need and a small living room with TV and DVD player. Only 3 'free' DVD's from Sunday magazines are provided though, so bring your own. There were no books in the house either. There is no wifi.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a good sized master room with a double bed, and a small room with a single bed and bunk beds. Fine for a family with young children, not so much for grown up visitors.
The bathroom has very hot water in the morning, but will run to luke warm through the day, so have your bath early on. The bath is tiny - I could only just fit in but I am 5 foot 2, so if you are larger just use the fine shower.
Parking is difficult - it says the garage will fit one small car, but the turning space is minute and we failed to get our car inside. However, there is limited parking a little further down the street, or ten minutes up the road, past the houses. It is a nice walk to and fro.
The house was clean. There was some confusion over rubbish collection as it did not have the red and blue bags that everyone else was using. Pembrokeshire has a policy of only providing one grey bag for general rubbish per week, and it is difficult to stay within that as the recycling can't be done.
I struggled to lock the side door to go out - but you just have to lift the lock a little and it clicks into place.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there, Solva is great, but the house is a three star more than a four.
