The cottages are lovely, but lacks in availability of the facilities. The jacuzzi has gone now and the pool closes at 4pm most days. The gym is good.
The spa is excellent and the treatments are outstanding.
It didn't seem to have the exclusiveness like it used to have.

Really lovely venue. You do need a car to get around to other places but the resort was nice. It was a shame that the restaurant was closed but the spa was fabulous, the resort was clean, the staff were very helpful and the sister resort was not too far away.
We had a wonderful holiday and will certainly be back.

What lets this place down is the indifferent staff at reception, zero internet and poor tv signal.
With small children they are essential in a small cottage. Was told by a supercilious woman that "everyone is using the internet at this time" a lame excuse for something that should be a given in 2022.

The pool was not child friendly far too deep, They have invested heavy in these cottages, the only positive, they all seem to be well appointed, but they blew it with all the little stuff and p#ss poor management.

Stayed here for 7 nights. The first cottage provided felt very claustrophobic, but they kindly moved us over to a larger one bedroom cottages. Beds in the new cottage were quite uncomfy, but the shower was great! Lydstep beach is really easy to get to by walk. Lots of really nice coastal walks. Ample parking on site. Lovely staff.

We stayed here for 5 nights the accommodation was clean and well looked after. The bed was comfortable but we didn’t sleep well because of the rain on the roof window . The weather changed while we were here but we found plenty to do.

We stayed in Dolphin Cottage for a weekend in early Sep 2022. We were a party of 5 plus a dog. Unfortunately, the WIFI was non-existent and this was an essential to us for entertainment and local information. We have made our complaint to Celtic Haven in writing but their response is frankly dismissive, stating that our experience was “intermittent” and not acknowledging that we found it non-existent. They completely ignored our feedback regarding the late notice that the restaurant was closed (ie this is not communicated until just at the point of booking) so if you want this facility think again!
The cottage itself is basic but comfortable. The garden is very exposed to the neighbours. The site is tidy and looks well-maintained. The location is convenient for the coast path, however local amenities such as grocery shops are scarce, and the most convenient shop was on a nearby site approx. 15 mins up and down a hill. Staff are polite but ineffective.

We love this place, however some of the facilities are a bit run down. Our cottage needed the rug sticking down and the safe secured to the floor.
Having said that the cottage itself was spotless and the beds comfortable and clean.

Four of us were treated to a celtic spa by a friend 11a.m. to 15.00hrs.
We did not stay in the self catering.
We were greeted by 3 very pleasant and polite young ladies and shown around. We waited for our treatments in the relaxation room with a stunning view.
2 of us were offered coffee and biscuits, 2 of us had to ask.
My friends' mother went to use the bathroom, as she walked out of the toilet, the door completely fell off of its hinges. She reported it. Unfortunately she also slipped and fell, no injuries. Also reported.
I went to use the shower facilities and there was no shower head on the shower. The timed shots of water from the 2 showers were very short.
All 4 of us were looking forward to a meal. Apparently the restaurant was closed as they didn't have a chef. No other food available, only biscuits.
We were looking forward to a jacuzzi but it had been removed.
One of the poor young ladies had a cold and unfortunately sniffed all the way through the treatments.
The nail varnish used for one of the treatments took 40 to 60 mins to dry, so advised not to use facilities until dry.
The ladies were lovely, the rooms were clean. The experience was not a good one. We all enjoyed as we just laughed our way through it all, but when we sat down and had a chat we realised what a complete shambles the whole day had been. We all left very hungry. Unfortunately, we are not able to recommend this spa and we definitely don't want to go back. Such a shame as the place is in an idyllic spot.
