An amazing house that was perfect for our group of 3 families. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space and and stunning mountain and forest walks right from the doorstep. Would highly recommend a stay here at Llety Llanwrtyd.

Our extended family stayed in this lovely long Welsh house. Grandchildren and children absolutely loved the house and garden. The house is well appointed for families and friends. The house has been lovingly restored by Susan who grew up in the house. Loft area is great for young families as it has the family together with en-suite and play area. Loved our time here.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was big enough for our two families (8 of us in total) to not feel like we were on top of eachother. We stayed over Christmas and found that the kitchen a good size and well stocked with everything we needed to cook big meals. When we arrived we were given mince pies and milk for tea which was a very thoughtful touch. Also, we got loads of use out of the hot tub, which was a great addition to the property. The scenery was fabulous and I imagine would be stunning in summer. The property was very clean and the bathrooms were a great size. On the whole the bedrooms were excellent, except for the smallest one on the second floor that was quite cramped for 2 adults to stay in for more than a week. Despite this, we really loved staying in this property and would definitely return. There are lots of lovely walks to do in the area and if that doesn't interest you then there's lots of room to relax.

Some constructive criticism for the owners would be that we did find it to be slightly cluttered. Because there was 8 of us staying and we had alot of things, we needed alot of storage and surface space, which was sometimes taken up unecessary ornaments, especially in the kitchen. I think it would be nice if a few of the kitchen cupboards were left completely empty, for us to fill! In addition, the layout of the TV/living room we found to be quite anti social. During our stay we moved the sofas into a U shape and found this to be more social and it made it easier for everyone to watch the TV. This could be improved for future visits by getting rid of some of the older sofas and arranging the new ones in a more sociable way.

Having usually been the type to take city breaks, it was a refreshing experience to spend some time in a more rural location and the Llety Llanwrtyd holiday cottage ticked all of the boxes. The cottages themselves are very well presented and have been renovated to an extremely high standard. Some noticeable features were the exposed beams which were a fantastic touch.

The location of the cottages was also outstanding, with breathtaking views to wake up to every morning (see picture). The cottage was also kitted out with everything you would need during a stay, including cutlery, appliances and even games. A hot tub was also situated outside nearer the larger cottage which was great to use, while taking in the scenery.

Just something to add however, not so much of a negative as an advisory, a couple of days into our stay the neighbour behind had sparked up a rather large bonfire, generating a lot of smoke resulting in all windows being closed and the hot tub being unusable as it was in the direct path of the smoke.

Other than the above comment we had a fantastic stay and would definitely consider returning.

We have just finished our week holiday, and it was incredible! The house is very well equipped, and really spacious for the 8 of us. For us, the location was great, although there were not many things close by, that didn’t bother us - we spent one day completing the Four Falls Trail at the Brecon Beacons, which I highly recommend! The local town of Llanwrtyd Wells is about a 30 mins walk away, and has many places to eat and a few shops to grab essentials. The hosts, Iwan and Susan, were amazing, and always there to answer our questions/fulfil any requests. We only came back yesterday, and are already planning to come back again next year! Honestly can’t recommend this place enough!
(Just a little piece of advice - make sure your windows are closed in the evening, because there are lots of gnats flying around during the night, and you don’t want them coming in!)

An immaculate cottage in beautiful surroundings! We spent a memorable few days here with our family of 11. The cottage is really well presented and exceptionally spacious for large gatherings. Highly recommended!
