We stayed in one of the converted railway carriages in the field. First impressions were great. Views good, location v quiet. However, the accommodation had significant shortcomings. The bed was very high, which is a problem for older people. We had to balance on a lightweight stool to get in. There was no other step provided!? Also, there were no easy chairs to sit in, inside or out, so on the days it rained we were forced to lay on the bed. Not good! There is masses of space under the bed but nowhere to hang clothes? There is instead a Welsh dresser ( not needed) and a large table (one half the size would do) with an uncomfortable wooden bench ( the only sitting facility provided apart from the stool!). On the plus side, the shower facilities were very good, the bed very comfortable and the whole place had a lovely feel to it. However, There are serious layout problems that need immediate attention. Staying in the carriage in inclement weather is not practical unless you want to lay in bed all day! We cut our holiday short by 2 days because of this, wasting £200.

We stayed here in the middle of November after a busy few months work. Firstly I'll get the bad points out of the way. There was no one on site when we arrived to meet us or the other party that had arrived and so had difficulty finding the cabin in the dark as is not sign posted and down a track to the side of the farm yard. There was no tea, coffee or milk when we arrived which we thought was meant to be supplied. We managed to get hold of the owner by text as there is little or no mobile reception on site(thus the need for wifi) they were on holiday an the site manager was meant to be there an they got hold of them an tea etc was then supplied. The wifi didnt work at all for all of our stay. The on site manager said it should be working an that was all the assistance we got with that so no wifi for our 4 day stay. The cabin was very dusty and lots of hair on the bottom of the shower! The under floor heating thermostat had no instructions. On the plus side if you look past these issues the cabin is well laid out very cosy an with the log burner going super warm. The bed is huge an better than most hotel beds. Lots of room to relax. The folder left in the cabin gives lots of ideas of things to do, go and places to eat.

we have just had 2 nights at the flying Scotsman railway inspired carriage and my goodness what a fantastic break! I highly recommend, the cabin itself was lovely, clean, safe, In the most beautiful spot, with an amazing view and a lovely brook at the bottom of the field. Everything has been thought about in the cabin, they provide heating, but we used the log burner which was picturesque, hot water and even WIFI. the local walks were fantastic and Julie was wonderful. we asked for some extra bedding and she was straight down with blankets and bedding. she was very helpful and suggested some routes to walk. Every cooking utensil you could ask for was there, right down to a pizza cutter! This is glamping at its best! I will certainly be sending friends up and I will 100% be returning, more than once! if your looking for a well priced weekend way look no further!

We stayed at the 4 bedroom converted barn. Was amazed with the layout, modern yet lots of character, plenty of room for our 3 families. Juccuzi was fab. The owners were very nice and helpful. Will deffo be booking to go again

Had a lovely hen weekend away. Amazingly quiet space. There was issue with the plumbing being very loud, especially at night when trying to sleep.

Beautiful few days away in a stunning location! Would highly recommend. Everything you needed in there. The room was also cleaned to a very high standard, couldn't fault it!
